Hey guys--
I'm a relatively new fan of anime. I grew up during the Pokemon fad but didn't actually watch much anime through my childhood. I had been really interested in Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon and saw some other shows such as Beyblade but never really got that into any because the rigid TV schedule didn't allow me to watch anything start to finish.
It wasn't until my senior year of high school when I got into watching anime. It all started when I decided to watch Yu-Gi-Oh! start to finish because I remembered seeing it before and was just really curious about learning the answers to the show's many mysteries. Despite its cheap plot devices and childish nature, I became engrossed and thoroughly enjoyed Yu-Gi-Oh! start to finish.
When I was done, I wanted more but didn't quite want to watch GX. Someone referred me to Bleach, and it is now my favorite show (even though I find Death Note and Naruto to be of better quality overall).
Thanks for stopping by! I like discussing characters, plots, themes, messages, ideological undertones, and just about everything. I only watch dubbed anime (I know, I know) because I really dislike constantly reading subtitles.
