18 year old guy who has an interest in anime. My list might not be as massive as some other people on the site, but it's growing. I don't necessarily have a favorite genre, so I just typically watch 'em all. (=
How I rate anime:
1/10 - Shouldn't even exist in the first place. Makes me question why I'm even watching anime in the first place and just helps the stigma behind anime. (Example: Eiken)
2/10 - Boring, uninteresting, unlikable characters, shitty plot. Anime the ranks here usually ends up getting dropped, but in the case that they don't get dropped I would never be as evil to recommend it to a friend. (Example: School Days).
3/10 - Unoriginal and boring. Occasionally a 3/10 can be interesting but the show itself is so silly and bad that I can't help but take it as a bad joke. (Example: Naruto)
4/10 - Weird, awkward, useless meaning, and generic. Again, anime that rank here tend to be interesting to say the least... but I have a very hard time finding the appeal behind the show. (Example: Sword Art Online)
5/10 - Average... I guess. Usually flat out generic. Shows that rank here tend to be flat out disappointing in my book. I usually go in expecting a lot and get so little from the show. (Example: D-Frag!)
6/10 - It has potential, but I didn't feel like it went anywhere. Shows that rank here are only a minor step up from the previous rank because they have something original to show for. (Example: Kanon (2006))
7/10 - It's good. Is it mindblowingly amazing? Nope. But it's definitely worth the watch. Shows that rank here reach my minimum for a recommendation, but I would never say it's a must-watch. (Example: Angel Beats!)
8/10 - I personally loved it. Shows that went here took an extra step in the entertainment value from the previous rank. I could easily recommend this show to a friend knowing that he/she would come back satisfied. (Example: Soul Eater).
9/10 - Amazing. Shows that rank here get my fullest recommendation to friends, and usually have a giant creative twist that no other show dared to take. There may be one or two flaws, but in the end that's just me being nit-picky (Examples: Steins;Gate/Little Busters: Refrain!)
9.5/10 - Nearly perfect. That's, right. I have a few shows that fall under this category so I make the "9.5ers" have a rating of there own. Despite being few in number, shows of these rankings are vastly considered "gateway drugs" into anime, and are viewed as classics from the community. These shows are just a must watch. (Examples: Cowboy Bebop/Baccano!)
10/10 - Flat out life changing. Shows that get a perfect score are rare, but deserve it. I just don't hand out a perfect score to any anime, but the anime that does get this score usually means that I felt like a much better person by the end of it. A must watch for any fan. (Examples: Clannad After Story/Welcome to the NHK)
10+/10 - My personal favorite show. Shows that rank here (despite there only being one so far) deserve the fullest praise from the anime community and are beyond perfect in every way, shape, and form. In order to get beyond a perfect score the show has to rank AT LEAST a 10/10 in all categories. (Example: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood).

Characters: no dimension to their personality and 0 psychoanalysis
Story: goes nowhere both as a character driven and plot driven narrative. And the show isn't conceptual or avant garde so there's no excuse for it.
Art: the CGI zombies are jarring and there are often inconsistent character models. They have cool transitions from cute to dark but those issues are never fixed.
Again not here to scrutinize but just curious as to if you acknowledge these issues or if it never registered with you until I mentioned them.
But really, thanks for reading my review and the feedback!
