Sorry. I got real busy for a second there. Actually thought I replied. But it was a while ago that my mom worked retail. I mean, it was around 09. I assumed you meant the boots and not just some doctor named Martens lol Great to hear the environment is that nice. Discounts are cool, but the working environment is what really matters imo. I'm a freelance sound mixer/boom operator, so schedule is always changing, but I'm doing well enough to do it full time. Well, as full time as freelance can be.
Are you two renting, or mange to buy the apt? I mean, it's pretty rough to try to buy around here, but not sure if that's the case for the rest of the country. Do you think you're going to stay there for another year at least, or want to move up again? The breakup was drawn out. His issues kept piling up to a point where I can't help. At some point, I had to cut it off when he wouldn't get the help he admitted he needed. I'm moved on atp though.
So did you have your break already? I guess I'm on a break for now until the end of the month. A lot got pushed because of the fires, but I got to work the weekend at least

I get that. My mom used to do seasonal retail back in the day. I was pretty swamped until a week ago, myself. What's your new full time job? So you two have your own place? That sounds super nice tbh! I'm just starting to look for someone else again after breaking up with my ex in October. For better or for worse, my dad's visiting for the holidays, so I'll be making the best of it. Hope you have SOME time off during the holidays yourself

Yeah, probably mostly ads. That, and since anime is so cheap and unethical, a profit of some kind should be easy.
I heard a lot of states are like that. My mom says Florida is pretty much back to normal. We're a lot slower, especially with the people being so impatient. A bunch of people are at the beaches and walking around the city with no masks. I can see another spike soon if it keeps up.
Summer school that periodically doesn't sound bad. It's a good excuse to get out now and then at least. I'm just ready to go back to work. The last project was too fun before lockdown. I want to travel the country, holding mics over friendly strangers, living out of a van again. It was SO FUN ugh

I took my longest break probably in 2013 but I havent taken long breaks since then. I just enjoy anime and can find plots I want to watch more than live action tv or american tv. i just finished another anime today and now im gonna work on finishing My boring girlfriend or whatever it's called. (season 2) All I do all day is drink tea, make reviews for tea, watch anime, and watch criminal minds lol
