I believe anime is more than just something you would watch for fun.Well here is a list of characters who actually taught me something..
Light: How to manipulate people with words.
L: How to express thoughts in terms of percentages ;)
Magata Shiki: Reality sucks.
And finally
Hikigaya Hachiman: How this rotten this world is.
Luffy,Naruto,Ichigo,Gintoki,Saitama: How not to be.

If you ride the wind, the wind will take you the the place either you like or don't like. That's what MAL is all about, at least in my way of thinking.
I don't think that's a bad thing, being swayed from other's idea as long as you know it is also what you believe and you know that it is also part of your idea. But being swayed without knowing the circustances or what's going on, is just utterly despicable to me. Sometimes it can be also offensive to those who knows that they're just following the river's current.
Well people have their own ways of how to decide whether the anime is good or bad. I don't generally care how others do it, but BS explanation that decides if the anime is bad, just pisses me.
I don't get what you said in the last sentence... Please expand it more or clarify it a little bit.
unjustified. For example, I don't quite frankly know the percentage of those who like SAO and those who didn't, but I can tell that that person is probably just being a jerk because he/she rated SAO 10/10 despite of the flaws in the story. And I can tell that a person is also being a jerk
if he rated SAO 1/10, because he/she is just exaggerating the flaws of the anime.
I think it just really depends on the genre of the anime. Shounen and Seinen have so many distinct differences and the in-depth theme. It is hard to compare The Perfect Insider and OPM because those two are like water and fire, totally opposite of each other.
I don't have a proof but I think a majority of people that liked OPM is generally at the age of 10, since Shounen can "manipulate" the brains of kids, unlike kids who watches The Perfect Insider, they might have a hard time telling what's going on due to the fact that the depth of the anime
are too far to them.
I know what it feels when the anime you like was overshadowed by an "childish" anime, I frankly don't quite get why those user rated The Perfect insider 1/10, its not like the story was all jumbled around and there's no alien that just poped up in the plot, or the MC asked Detective Conan to solve the murder case, or when the plot turned into a rom-com and Hikigaya and Yukino just magically showed up. But part of me believe that those users who rated The Perfect Insider 1/10, just really don't appreciate the beauty of the anime, or they just rated it 1/10 to make their mean score low.
Either way, it really sucks that OPM and The Perfect Insider collided at the same time. I think it would be a good match if The Perfect Inside were to air this season, but it will be likely going to overshadowed by ERASED, nevertheless, if so, The Perfect Insider still have the change to arose since not everyone have watched The Perfect Insider. Just chill dude, I'm with you when you said that OPM was overshadowed The Perfect Inside, it is silly but that's just what makes it cruel.
I mean, hey I get what you're trying to say in your review in OPM, but I guess 1/10 is a little strong, from just those details you were easily swayed and rated it 1/10.
Lastly I like OPM, not because of the majority prefers the anime nor because I read you review. For me, OPM is just something you would watch in a times of when you're having a headache or a tough time, in case for me, worked because when I was watching OPM, final exams were on its way, and I felt a little relaxed watching something funny, yet exaggerated. But to me, those EP's were just really what happened to be the one who help me to calm.
I don't know how was your day when you were watching OPM, but to me, I just happened to me in the bad mood, and picked a good, yeah maybe a little flat, yet to me, a wonderful anime.
Gotta respect you for being an Oregairu fan mate.
On the other note, I don't get what you mean, you like Psychological anime, yet hate it? Or do you mean you hate Shounen due to the fact that it lacks Psychological theme and poorly pictures it?
