The cardinality of the MAL ten point rating system makes it difficult for me to normalize my views on the things I've watched or read. This is why I don't touch any of the numbers below 5. An average series to me would merit an 7 meaning that it was pleasant but in retrospect not essential to my viewing or reading experience. However, that is not to say that my experience was homogeneous across 7 rated series; I may have been bored throughout the series except during a single arc or I may have been consistently interested throughout the series but only mildly. All works rated 9 or above meant that the anime or manga as a whole stood out to me; it had an unique premise, executed an old idea well or evoked a strong emotion. A 5 means the work completely failed to capture me or left me intensely disappointed.

hey i want to invite you to my manga server. it is for people have good taste like you. what do you say?
Wolf's Rain is a strange and divisive series, a lot of people love it and an equal number seem to dislike it. I fall somewhere in the middle, but I've only seen it once and, in fairness, it's a pretty complicated show that probably merits more attention from me than that. I do recommend watching it and keeping an open mind, you might find a lot to like.
And, lastly, nice profile picture. Love the warmhearted weirdness of FLCL.
