In honor of this special day, I've chosen to give you wishes on the very same platform where we 'met' each other - here on MyAnimeList. Do you remember when we first messaged: I remember you having made a topic/discussion post here on MAL, asking how to make friends with others. And on that day, I thought to answer you back - and see how far we've gotten!

From long messages on our profiles, to masses of private messages and then moving on to Instagram - it's really been a journey getting to know you, and I want to thank you for that. You've been through a lot, and I only wish the best for you, and even though we know that life can have its ups and downs (and sometimes decides you have to go through more of one than the other...), I'm happy to know that you have others to share your thoughts and experiences with, and I'm thankful to be one of them.

Again, in honor of this special day we've reached, I write to you: I hope you've been celebrated well, together with a lovely family, and even gotten some caring birthday-wishes from others. I hope you've been fed your favourite meals, snacks and desserts. I hope you've received a bunch of gifts - ones you've looked forward to, and even others that you might not feel fit you, but carry such good intentions and love, that you don't even mind.

These are words that've yet to really hit you, as I see that you struggle with accepting them, but I want you to know: you deserve good fortune, and much more than you think you do. Even today, as you had the impression that I'd forgotten your birthday (*cough cough* as I was still collecting gifs I wanted to add), you pointed out that you shouldn't expect much from others. And that says a lot about what you've been through, and how you think about yourself - and I hope to help you understand that it doesn't need to be like that.

Expect some more, as you deserve more, and communicate those feelings. And let's someday look back at the past, and see how much development one can go through. You're a patient, understanding, and very open person, and you should be proud of those qualities.

I wish the very best for you, and I hope this day has filled you with a sweet, warm and happy feeling - a feeling that embraces you, and reminds you that you are alive. You work hard, have goals and is moving towards a future, and time follows along. Today shining specifically on you.

But yes, hehe, I have a ton of Japanese songs I really like - naturally, most are known because they were an OP or ED in an anime, but there's others I've discovered from animatics or YT-vids. I really like the singer Eve, for example!

I ended up reading the HxH manga because I was curious about what happened next. I know the author ended up on hiatus but supposedly is back (or soon) - I hope they don't overwork themselves though...

Hope you enjoy Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun when you do watch it then, the style is to die for, hehe! And looking forward to the second season of Link Click as well, it was really so intense and interesting, I loved the opening and ending, so I wonder if the new ones will be just as good

Thank you so much! Gosh that's a lot of recommendations - I've heard of "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime", where I didn't personally have that much interest. But I don't know much about what happens, so I'll give it a try at some point then hehe xD

I feel like classics just have to be watched, so hopefully I'll get to those as well someday (hesitating a little on One Piece because of its length though...). For now HxH is the longest anime I've watched but it was really so so good.

Oho, I remember getting into a manga-phase where I just read so much. I don't read as much now but I really do like it, but I understand it can be a bit monotone and boring without the visual effects, music and such. That's why MMV-edits of manga can be so entertaining because they add such emotions with music and movement.

Well, they might not all be exactly psychological but have you thought about "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun" (I mean this mostly as a manga; the anime was visually very good too but the manga is also very great!). I would've recommended Summertime Render too but seems like you've already watched it hehe `v´ Another is "Link Click" which is originally chinese but is very suspenseful and interesting as well

Hmm, personally I really like some action-packed stuff but those with the psychological genre is so entertaining to watch (like Todomachi Game). But honestly I think I’m all over the place when it comes to genres - though I don’t really enjoy harem or isekai, but if a friend recommends, I would try some specifics out!

Gosh, I haven’t watched those classic ones like Naruto, Black Clover or One Piece. When I started watching, I jumped into AOT and MHA first, and I’ve watched ones like HxH which I enjoyed a lot.

I’m assuming you don’t read so much manga yet or haven’t had to interest to?

i've never had much interest in sports, but wrestling and martial arts would probably be the most interesting out of all sports

as far as sports i've played, my favorite sport was handball when i was a kid

People tend to watch whatever genre, and aren't afraid to show off their ecchi/hentai-interests too. I would say that you, of course, can still spark conversation with most people, despite what they watch - though does it make you uncomfortable because of their profile layout? Or have you run into some people that really want to talk about only that genre..
