My scoring system:
10- Masterpiece has no faults from what I can make out doesn't mean it's perfect just that I can't find fault in it.
9- I haven't really found a show I would call a masterpiece yet but these are the next best thing and some of the best there is in their respected medium from what I've seen of them so far.
8-Exceptional in all aspects whether it be the characters, setting, tone, themes and just the way everything comes together.
7- Far better than what I would consider average has a good deal going for it certainly far less than the aspects that take away from the overall experience. However, this series still lacks the merit to be considered anything more than just an enjoyable series that is very well done.
6- A series that has some aspects that I find enjoyable and well executed but either did not have enough ambition to merit a higher score or has a number of elements that I find detracting to the overall experience that holds it back.
5-Has many flaws and is lacking in a variety of aspect but still, retains some degree of enjoyment (average score).
4- Uninspired and uninteresting not particularly bad in any real fashion but is not engaging in any way either.
