I mostly try to rate series instead of individual seasons, mostly because some shows are broken up by season and some aren't, but also because I tend to enjoy consistently strong shows the most. Jojo is the exception

10: Shows that have personally affected or moved me in some way, with impact that remains or grows on rewatch.
9: Shows whose peaks could put them at a 10, but that also have drawbacks in some form (e.g. they're unfinished or are too drawn out). I also have some shows that I absolutely love but just don't enjoy quite as much as the 10s in there.
8: Outstanding shows I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Lower than that, it's honestly a pretty mixed bag. I used to have a cutoff at 6, basically saying everything above that is pretty good and worth a watch, but I'm not sure anymore. I don't really see myself returning to even the shows I have rated at a 7/10, unless I sensed some hidden potential that I didn't recognize on initial viewing. For an anime fan, these shows are probably worth watching, and maybe you might find something in it, but unless it looks like the type of thing that would appeal to you, anything below this isn't much worth your time, at least in my opinion.

Maybe I'll rework my rankings, there are a few shows below an 8 that the above doesn't apply to as much but I don't like quite as much as the 8s. In conclusion: Anime? Kinda cringe
