I'll actually start reviewing the seasonal anime stuff now. Probably. I might. :p
Hopefully they will be more unique on the DB pages than before, not pilled together with a lot of other... reviews, to express myself politely. Aaaand I don't know, might ride the waves when others quit, haha. Though it all really means only one thing; I just got bored of not reviewing for such a long time. Reviewing for the reviewing aspect of MAL has died indeed.
Actually, I just looked over the review, it needs more work. We won't be seeing it here anytime soon. Still, I'm bummed that the dislike button is gone.
I don't know why the dislike button was removed. Some of my reviews had a high dislike count, but it never made me upset, because I know a lot of the dislikes are, like I said, a knee-jerk reaction to me not going with popular opinion. Not to mention if a reviewer has reviews with a ton of dislikes, like ALL of them have lots of dislikes, it was also a good gauge to their quality, or lack thereof.
Speaking of which, I was planning on uploading a review very soon, but now I can't see a "3 out of 70 people found this helpful" now, since hurt feelings are apparently forbidden in the review space. Oh well, there's always the comment wall for flaming fanboys.
Actually, there's not really much for me to say about Death Note. Light is my second-favorite character. (Though I also like Mikami, Matsuda, and find Near to be underrated) It's just I find L more likable. I've seen fans go all like, "Light-kun was gonna save the world! Ryuzaki is so meeeean! >o<" and others go, "Light was Japanese Hitler! How can you love him over a true hero like L-kun!?" I, on the other hand, appreciate both, and will acknowledge that part of what made DN so great was how the two could be so similar, yet so different at the same time.
Homura and Sayaka, on the other hand.....everyone I know who likes PMMM lists one or the other as their favorite. Among my friends, it's a near-even split, with Homura at a slight advantage. The ones who favor Sayaka the most do respect Homura (though do remember that I disliked Homerun at first), and vice versa, but look on the forums, and it's all like, "Sayaka is so emo! Homura is too cool for this series!" or "Homura's such a bitch! Sayaka is the only real hero!"
I'm not gonna hate you for favoring them. Although oddly enough, Light is far more reprehensible than Homura, yet I like him more as a character. Maybe that's one reason DN is on my favorites list. XD
A positive, thought out, AND so-far-well received review of Sword Art (2)... I never thought this day would come. I haven't seen it yet, but you get the +1 from me man.
But, but, you suck at writing! Did you write anything good? Yeah, watching shows strictly in Japanese was hard at first, but it also helped refine my taste and made me remember why I like anime in the first place. (For all of the awesome speed lines of course.)
You don't really seem like the Nico type, but I barely know you. Honoka is a great leader, but her personality will always be ruined because of some sort of parody video I saw of Love Live. Speaking of which, the movie is doing really well in Japan!
Same! I'd like to think that you were my secret santa partner because we both have completely different lists then most users. While you are reviewing anime, I've been watching anime purely in Japanese with no subtitles. It took a lot of time to get completely used to it, but I'm better at it now. What anime have you watched or do you watch only the ones you review?
Honoka, you don't want Nico to drag you there? I recently just finished the series again with my criteria! I can't wait to get started on the second season to prepare for the film. Maki best girl!
Your entire post was in character, I see. I have two suggestions: Say that Sidonia is "Kakkoii desho!" And also, you added an English suffix to hountou, which shouldn't be possible. It'll make your JapEnglish even more.....sugoi. XD
Anyways, I've heard the second season of SAO is better than the first. And also, I think I would genuinely like the last story arc involving Asuna and (first name) Yuuki, like, genuinely like it. I doubt it could compare to those things you mentioned, but maybe I might skip to the last few episodes.
I also noticed you have a review for SAO I. Yours is quite different from the crop. Usually, the reviews are, "OMG! Best show evar! KiritoXAsuna greatest luv storee eva! <3" or "WTF Kirito is fucking godmoder fucking teenage pandering bullshit". You pointed out things neither of those other reviews said, although saying the characters are flat, and the ALO arc pointless aren't really convincing me to dive in.
True about seeing something and feeling something. It's kind of like what I heard in a movie once: I've seen pictures of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, but I've never actually been there, seen it in person, smelled it, seen the awe on peoples' faces, et cetera. As for staying in this hobby, the anime I love I will continue to watch forever. As for finding new anime? I still do it, but not as much as I used to.
I already know it's not a good idea to limit myself to one genre, one studio, etc. Still, it's a good thing to keep in mind.

About my age dropping, I would have no idea what you are talking about. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
