I was on there very briefly, but DotHack Portal was the one I spent a lot of time on. It's been shutdown for about a decade, though.

Tbh, I don't really remember my first impressions of SIGN and Liminality; I've watched them both so many times. I liked seeing the offline side of things in Liminality, as well as a more in-depth take on the Epitaph of Twilight in the third episode.
I love SIGN, personally. The pacing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it. That's a rather deep analysis; I hadn't thought about it that way, tbh, at least not explicitly. The existential dread bit is right on the mark, though.

I don't mind walls of text. I'm just glad people still get into the franchise, nowadays, honestly.

Well, I rented Infection and Mutation from a video rental store in either late elementary or early junior high, and it just went from there. Got G.U.//Rebirth when it first came out, and watched most of the anime (that was out), and read some of the manga and light novels, all before the end of highschool. I fell off with the most recent stuff, but for awhile, I was pretty knowledgeable. Even joined a forum when I was younger, hah.

.hack certainly has its own vibe, especially the Project .hack era. Glad you enjoyed so much of it. ^^

I actually think I had the exact same thoughts as you about Frieren at first, I was thinking "OK so when is it really going to start out? (with atleast SOME action or plot)". It was a bit weird.

I'm not actually truly interested in Oshi no Ko but heard about it lots and since you mentioned it will try to check it out (preliminary schedule for tomorrow)

And damnit, I hope you do check out frieren and I should probably check out Oshi no Ko. But what if you don't like Frieren (I'll be really heartbroken). And if I don't like your show? It'll be a letdown and you can always keep talking but where do you go from there?

I kind of hope you get back into Gundam because your original plan sounded awesome, but if you decide not to that's understandable.

Regarding the game, were you trying to make it yourself? Sounds harsh, but you'd learn a ton of stuff just by trying. You can learn so much just from pure interest and intent. Working with other (inspired) people is so much fun though! Platformers can still be great and captivating, while many are not. It's interesting hearing your take on it, I've never even had plans to make a game.

Recent things to add - i watched Sousou no Frieren pretty long after the initial hype, expecting not to like it that much. Damn was I wrong, it's stuck in my mind including the beautiful ED. Also - still stalling intended manga reading, help needed.

So how did it end up with the Gundam plan? And the game?

That's interesting, it's kind of sad to lose the ties but understandable if it just ends up like some extra language you learn at school. I kind of always equate Canada to that dual English-French (struggle) heritage, though I have no ties.
In my school english was compulsory and as second (third?) language study which was also compulsory we had to choose between french/spanish/german. German seemed the easiest but after that from years of going abroad I learned how spread the spanish and french languages are, kind of want to learn more.

Haha wow, 100 hours on it yeah thats tough. Have any demo-like thing ready to show? That'd be interesting.
I have these two animes that I like to get back to around the time of christmas and new years, I'm not ok to share them though. How are you doing with your watching?

I can't help myself from posting again sorry, but I started thinking and I remember hearing french christmas songs and their word for christmas is "noel"? I think. I have no idea where it comes from but I think it sounds really nice. And then I remembered you're Canadian so you have that part french history so I just had to share my thoughts. Do you have any french heritage at all?

Merry Christmas! In my language it's "God Jul" and i think you have a word for that in english too? Direct translation would be "Good Yule", hope that makes sense.
