I've only been able to read the first five chapters of Totsukuni no Shoujo, but already I am blown away: The art, the characters, the mood - all of it took my breath away. I cannot wait to see where the story goes! The notion of finding true human connection and little shreds of hope under otherwise dystopian and desperate circumstances is exactly my jam!!
I haven't read Hirayasumi yet, but I definitely will! From what I've read and seen about it, it seems like an instant classic to me!
Oh, and by the way, glad to see that you enjoyed My Girl as much as I did. It's just a fantastic, one of a kind book with very mature, very sensitive narrative tone that we seldom seem to find in manga.

I have to say i absolutely LOVED My Girl, it made me cry every chapter. I also checked other stuff from the author and it seems it'll be a nice ride to take.
Ningen Konchuuki was a bit confusing in the start, but when i started understanding the story it made me want to read it till the end. i'll probably need to read it again to fully understand it all.
I haven't read 2001-ya Monogatari yet, but it's on my list, so as soon as i can, i'm going to finish it.

Lately I have been pretty busy, so I don't really have that much free time to watch anime. However, despite that, I did manage to watch the first couple of episodes of Summertime Render and I got to say that; so far I actually like it! I did some research and noticed how the anime ends where manga ends, so that's a huge bonus, since there really isn't that many completed animes who fully cover the manga too. 🥰
I'll check out your other two recommendations as well! Although, the funny thing about Orange is how somehow people keep recommending it to me almost every year, but to be honest I have been a bit hesitating to watch it since pretty sure I heard somewhere it has sad ending. Not sure if that's really true or not... 🤔
Also, I noticed how we actually really have quite a lot of anime in common and gave most of them similar ratings! 👀
