Hello!
I'm Hikaachi, but you can also call me Alice, Mado, Hikaa or whatever you want!
I'm a horrible person who often procrastinate on replying L O L thisiswhyidonthavemanyfriendsimsorry
(omfg i haven't been in this site for years i need to update my stuffs)
I guess it's fine if you send FR, but I'm really bad at keeping a contact. Sometimes I just stop, for god knows why. Maybe I'm just that bad at commitment.
But I still like talking about my interests and about nonsense in general!!
(if I send you a FR, I think you're cool :D )
I'm a hobbyist. I have a lot of hobbies, like watching abandoned places videos, learning about true crimes, journalling etc, but I like reading the most. That's why I read more manga than anime. Also VN. I love love love VN. My favorites are G Senjou No Maou, Steins;Gate, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni, Rewrite etc.
I'm a humanities kind of person- a Psych student and a part time writer.
INFP, melancholic, Slytherin & lawful neutral. I'd like to say I'm not a sensitive person, but I cry at many series....................but moving on.
I like mysteries, psychological and thriller genre. They are like my lover. I know I can't live without them- knowing about what humans are capable of, endless curiosity when presented something ambiguous and to have continuous sense of intrigue; they make me feel alive! That's why I choose to study Psychology in uni. To study more about the concept of being human. Wait, that's philosophy. Whatever.
I like music. I like indie, dreamy, chill music the most <33 Please give me recommendations on good indie music bc I'd love to listen to them :D
My favorite director of all time is Satoshi Kon. I love his works; he has all the genres I like put into a movie; but what I like the most is the surrealism and metaphors painted in his works. If I have to choose a favorite, I'd say it's a tie between Paranormal Agent and Perfect Blue!
My favorite manga is.... Monster! It's a nice combination between murder mystery (not much of murder mystery though), thriller and philosophical theme of the idea of justice, life and death. It's a brilliant manga. Naoki Urasawa is the best.
I also like QED and Dr Frost! I read a lot of detective mangas, but these two are the best, in my opinion. In QED, you learn about Math in the most interesting ways while in Dr Frost, you can learn about Psychology (though some can be... uh... they applied Freud's theory into one of their investigation so my rating of this manhwa kind of went down... but I still love the whole series though.)
I also play a lot of visual novels. For me, a quality VN is when the plot and emotional level are both equally high. So if people ask me what's my top favorite visual novel; it's Steins;Gate!! I haven't watched the anime, but I played the visual novel without really knowing what's it about, and I'd say the plot is intelligent, and the emotions killed me inside. I also like G Senjou No Maou, but while I cry my heart out at the ending, it's not as brilliant as Steins;Gate in my opinion. I don't know why I'm comparing these two. why.
I still have yet to watch my top to watch (wtf am I saying) anime; Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ergo Proxy, Ghost In The Shell, Texhnolyze etc etc. I'm going to watch them!! Just..... I.... am....an avid.... procrastinator..... Just like how I'm supposed to write an article, but right now I'm writing this about me section.
My non-anime favorite movie is Silence Of The Lambs. It's a classic. For now, my top favorite book of all time is And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. I still have a lot to read. But instead, I'm reading this manga about a woman who is married to a man who already has two wives... (it's Hare Kon by the way LOL)
You may or may not notice, despite my profile picture and the large picture on top of my about me; that I admire Ayano Tateyama from Mekakucity Actors. While I admit she's one of my favorite characters, or as an intellectual call it- waifu, she's not my best waifu. I like her because I like KagePro back then (I still do, though not as much), and then I roleplayed as her, and then she just... stuck to me. And then I'm like- what the hell, Ayano is my aesthetic so let me just use her as my internet persona.
My favorite girl is Makise Kurisu!! Intelligent, beautiful and can be a bit temperamental towards Okabe; she's perfect!! I also like Lain, my bear suit wearing waifu. And how can I forget Akane Tsunemori from Psycho Pass!!! For me, I relate to her a lot, and she's my role model. To be smart, and even with clumsiness, she's still an ambitious person.
When my otome loving friend introduced me Mystic Messenger, I fell in love with Jumin Han. But my phase toned down a bit. And after I had a really bad day, I played Mystic Messenger April Fools DLC, and Zen said he loves me and will always be there whenever I'm down, I began to question- to choose Jumin Han or Zen. :( After playing Nameless, another otome game, I fell in love with Tei, the guy who made me confused with my emotions, and I hate his route so much, yet it made me so emotional, so I just can't help but loving him, you know?
i was gonna put something witty but i gave up
tbh idk i have a shit taste but the shit tastes good
irritates me the most : dumb MCs!!!!!!!!!!!!
not Aho Girl kind, but just. You know those dumb, dense and too kind protaganists? Yes. I hate those.
Hey, it's been like two years since I logged onto this site and you're like the only person I ever actually talked to here so I thought I'd say hi, How's it going?
That turned out great haha
I think that goes for the majority of the people here on MAL xD
I have a pc and on weekends it's on from the morning until i go to bed, even if i go out i leave it on downloading some anime i plan to watch ^^
I have read you description and i liked it :P
The fact that you put your laptop in your location destroyed me, really good job with that i didn't expect it xD
And yeah this is it, i think you could be a cool person so i added you :P
Hope we can get along together!
Loveraft is one unusual guy. Though you can't say he isn't funny.
His power really is interesting, I want to know what it is because it isn't an ability. I think most people will want to know!
Crime and Punishment is really fantastic I reccomend it, and the manga Tsumi to Batsu as well because that is based off of Crime and Punishment, although it's set in Japan and not in Russia.
They did, It was adapted much better than I was expecting to be honest. I really liked the final episode with Anne's room they did it really well. As you say the OST was awesome. I thought they would end it in a weird place too but they didn't and I'm glad season 2 is coming out because I agree the next arc will look great animated. If they do it right that is, and hopefully they do because it will look fantastic.
I loved watching Bungou Stay Dogs too! I'm also hyped for the second season.
I've actually heard of Gosick before. And I think I will like it once I actually get around to watching it. I haven't heard of the other ones, but they sound interesting! Thanks for sharing them with me.
It's fine. School also limits my time on the internet. But as you said, it's break now!
How did you enjoy the anime by the way?
I thought they adapted the first arc pretty well and now it just leaves on an annoying cliffhanger for the next.
I just want October to hurry up already. For both this and The Walking Dead.
It's fine school is probably more important anyway, and It's hard not too because it's so good!
Even though they are the arseholes that are 'The Guild', I thought all of the new characters that were introduced were really interesting. Especially Lovecraft and Steinbeck! Steinbeck's ability is pretty cool, especially when combined with Q's.
Chapter 39 really was. Atsushi's past was really horrible, then when he didn't know how to deal with his headmasters death. It was sad, but at least Dazai was there to comfort him somewhat.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Fyodor Dostoyevsky as I find his character really interesting. Plus I like the author aha.
It really would, I've not read many of them, but from what I have read they really are great. Yeah they might not be as appropriate aha.
You should, the manga gets really good. Especially when it introduces more characters into the story. Just waiting for Chapter 39 to be translated and then I can catch up and finish the rest that has been translated. Think it's 42 chapters that have been translated up till now.
As far as manga go, no. Actually, I don't even think the other mystery anime I've seen truly qualify as part of the detective genre. I mean, technically both Bungou Stray Dogs and Boku Dake ga Inai Machi could be classified as detective anime. Though I only mention the former because, well, aren't all the main characters basically detectives? And despite the latter's trainwreck of a suspenseful mystery, the mc does do detective-like things. These two are both seasonals I watched as they aired, and the former isn't even finished and has a whole second cour coming this fall to boot. So who knows how well I can judge the direction it's going?
I bet you've read/watched way more actual detective manga/anime than me. So would you mind telling me about some of the ones you like? When I get caught up with Conan I'll probably want to try out something similar. Thanks in advance!
Personally I am fan of potatoes, I'm sure my potato themed profile gave that away
I am a little bit of a hypocrite though, I hate fries ;(
It makes me feel like an incomplete potato
Is Mekakucity Actors any good?
I'm always looking for more to add to the list even though I've not been watching anime very much at all lately
I support your theory, you should become a vegetable scientist
Wow, starting in the middle? I could never do that! Now for the question... Are you caught up? And thank you!
I know very well who Hakuba is. I've read a bit of fanfiction with him in them, and I like his character. Great, now I'm getting excited to watch Magic Kaitou Kaitou 1412! I don't want to wait!

But the wait for October will probably drag.

Yeah, it would be nice if Hakuba appeared more in Detective Conan. And Shinichi is the best! (I'm biased too)
