Regarding your review about Magi; It has something to do about 1001 nights, just not really with the story (maybe you already know, sorry for that then haha..)
Because, the manga readers including me, think that the manga is going to have 1001 chapters (for ex. the latest chapter is 172, and on the beginning of the chapter stands '172nd Night' so, well... We think it will at least have 800+ chapters).
I also read somewhere that the mangaka said that the story right now is just 1/4 of the whole story :3 So there will be a lot of Magi Nights in the future ghehe
Yes, anime people aren't realistic, but the difference between them and him would be like having a anime character in real life. His face is 4 times as big as everyone else's, it's as if he was drawn a chibi in a non-chibi anime world. It's just forcing down our throats how weak and lacking in self assurance he is.
The attack in that game was pretty vicious, it's a game at the end of the day, but it was pretty aggressive wasn't it? It's an incredibly personal attack, as if your actually aiming to hurt the person rather than their avatar. I agree with you though, he forgave him because he was his friend.
Yes, it's stated that for some reason the heroine is lonely, however the fact she fell for the protagonist without much reason other than he was just there. It didn't have any flow, it seemed spontaneous.
Also, my annoyance with the character design is how much it goes out it's way too shout at you "HE'S A LOOOSER". There is no reason for him to be half the height of anyone else, don't you find that strange? It's unnatural for someone to be that short, and no explanation is given. They want to make him look like a loser, and I think they just went way too far.
As for his personality, that's a different issue from how short and fat he is, as it is I don't think it's was out of nobility that he forgave Taku, it was that they were friends, and he didn't want to see his friend suffer, even if he had attacked him.
You seem to think I look at the him and go "he's short and fat, so not cool, why can't he be like Ichigo or summin?", but that's not the case. I'd be happy if he was just fat, but it's the fact his stature is plain unrealistic that bugs me.
The Review said: Art:
I like the Art because the main protagonist for example is not your typical good-looking hero. And the heroine is also beautiful. The art itself is not outstanding but it is nice and has some really nice pictures to offer.
Yeh, if the character was just fat that'd be fine, but why the hell is he half the height of everyone else and completely round? It's just silly, it's unreasonable and it's just shouting "Oh look how pathetic this guy is". It's overstating way too much.
Oh, and I also disagree with your on the characters. In my opinion they are characterized poorly, and the relationship that the two protagonists develop is downright unrealistic, and it only serves to cater to the target audience of insecure males with no confidence.
Sorry if I come off as aggressive, but I just can't stand the anime.
Nice one with "Accel World" , btw, u can't blame d negative reviews of this anime co'z I guess that nearly everyone was being infulence by the main charcter who was drawn as a typical sterotype loser.
