Sorry it's been a while, yeah, trying to get back into the groove of school. Argh, this year will be the last but toughest year to balance things. How are things for you?
Well I just acquired several classic, and historical anime series, so that will keep me busy for awhile. Hajime no Ippo, Souten Kouro, Rose of Versailles, and Saiunkoku Monogatari. Also acquired a few movies and the Blade of the Immortal manga.
It is already Thursday for me so you must mean next Thursday??
I don't think we will ever run out of things to watch ^_^
Even though sometimes what is popular at the time is not to our tastes, we can always find things that we hadn't time for before and watch those. .
Ah I am now done with the Count of Monte Cristo and I think I see why you dislike the end. I expected more from the last couple of eps, but when you think about it, tales of revenge like that often don't end well at all. Why did they present it in a flashback type of manner? I wonder if it is because the big things happened in the eps preceding it, but they also left us with unanswered questions. Still I like to think that even if Eugenie and Albert did not see each other even once in the five years, that his running towards the sound of her piano means they did in fact meet. Overall it is a much better series than many and I think they did a nice job of adapting it.
*There is my friend Kazuma hating on Shiki some more ^_^. Still I got him to watch it so I am glad, and there can be only one Hellsing!!!!!*
...I KNOW! It's not that they're terrible, but you kind of hit in on the head....they're just average shows with a quick turnout rate.
As for Shiki, it does have its share of violence and pretty much a ton of people die. Kind of ends on a cliffhanger though and I've not heard of them making plans to fix that with an OVA or anything yet either. Idk, Shiki was alright but I also found it to be only slightly better than average. I won't say more than that at the moment though.
I can understand the whole Deadman Wonderland thing...still, I found it to be a little off the beaten track, so it was definitely welcome. The manga is what I like more.
I'll have to check those out. I'm not a huge funny anime kinda guy, but I like a variety and it also has its place every now and then.
Trust me, FMA B is worth the look. I recently rewatched the first and although I found it to be good, FMA B is better imo. Take care for now. Got to go work on homework again -_-
The movie I watched was the one with Guy Pierce, I think it was him anyway. But revenge tales like this rarely end well. Still you have got to give to the anime, it did a good job ^_^.
Sorry, I've been trying to get busy again. With school and work? How's that coming along?
Just the usual, I guess, work, events, and learning to say 'No.' ^^; and somewhat succeeding... If you would call it success or a poor attempt-- Doesn't matter! What matters is I'm trying XD.
I'm on my co-op term right now and I'll be returning to my last 8 months of classes in Jan. Time flies!
