Generally speaking:

I finish episode one, and
If it's a 2 or less I drop it
If it's a 3 it is not worth watching AND boring
If it's a 4 it is not worth watching OR boring but, assuming I watch further, it is either short enough, was personally recommended, or I am invested. In the latter case my investment wears out over time leading to a drop.
If it's a 5 it's just a 4 but better and I rarely ever drop unless it is like 100 episodes
6 is like a 5 but I actually enjoyed it
7 means genuinely worth watching assuming you were already interested, though you might not like it. This is the highest rating I stand by as attempting to be objective
8 means I recommend it (excluding sequels) or in some cases I personally liked it and thought it deserved more than just a 7
9 means I personally really liked it
10 is like a 9 but it has exceptionally good visuals and/or impactful emotional tones or I thought it would be funny

There are a couple shows where I dropped it without even finishing the first episode. Those are shows I personally found and tried when I had no recommendations. That's why I'm sticking to shows I've been recommended or that are very highly rated.
