An avid manga reader who even reads anything from right to left which will cause a lot of confusion much to her stupidity.
A self-proclaimed anime fan who has been watching anime since she was little, with Cardcaptor Sakura being the first anime series she religiously followed every Saturday morning when she was in college. Her first male character's crush was Kinomoto Touya.
A proud fujoshi who secretly watches/reads BL series when her roommates are not looking. (Or they will question her sanity). Oh, they question her sanity alright. Seeing her blushes, screams and laughs while she's listening to BL drama CD. If only they knew...
Has a soft spot for:
- anything megane, shades included (Itoshiki Nozomu, Kishitani Shinra, Mayama Takumi, Kirihara Misaki, Fujiwara Keiji)
- bishounen/biseinen
- silent male characters (think Mori senpai, Sanada Ryuu, Tsuji Ryuu, Doumeki Shizuka, etc)
- goofy male characters (like Sakata Gintoki, Suou Tamaki)
- cats. She wants to own Nyanko-sensei (Natsume Yuujinchou), Tama (Nyan-koi) and Chobi (Ani-Kuri15).
- Nakamura Yuuichi
- and wants to own a Haro.
Loves the awesome and talented seiyuu behind the characters.
Enjoys watching Japanese drama and movies although she rarely watches them nowadays.
Loves Japanese music and spends most of her time listening and memorizing the lyrics. Has pitchy voice but frequents karaoke center with her friends to sing her heart out. XD
A chronic procrastinator by nature. So don't expect her to update the list anytime soon. Mendokusai na!! (Especially to update the anime list... *sighs*)
Could spend her day listening to THE BACK HORN and The Rodeo Carburettor all day if she doesn't feel like watching anime.
Is mentally unstable, diagnosed with borderline personality disorder many years ago (in 1998 to be precise), and has used anime & manga as an escape from reality or to dissociate from the noise in her head.
Randomness of the month (or year, or whenever she feels like updating this lol)
"If Tokuchi Toua is a real life person, Yu Darvish probably resembles him the most."
Before you start asking Yu who? Try clicking his name above.
More randomness...
Well, maybe because I love Japanese seiyuu so much, and maybe because I listen to a lot of drama CD, I noticed that I imagine the manga I read to be voiced by those seiyuu (like VOMIC). Lol. Even with the manga that's yet to be adapted to drama CD (or in some cases, there might never be a drama CD version).
Take a manga called "Natsu no Zenjitsu" [warning: mature content, NSFW for kids] for example. I can't help but imagining these seiyuu to voice the characters in the manga.
Aoki Tetsuo - Kiuchi Hidenobu (because Aoki is like a mix of Hei and Ren)
Aizawa Akira - Kuwashima Houko (because Akira needs a seiyuu who sounds matured and soft-spoken)
Riko - Sawashiro Miyuki (because Miyukichi can be either girl or boy or (in this manga's case), a reverse trap)
Mori - Hiyama Nobuyuki (because... err, Mori looks like Hii-chan.. I mean, physically)
Hanami - Itou Kanae (in her Saten Ruiko voice, because as much as I don't really like Hanami, she deserves a good seiyuu)
Well, this is only wishful thinking.. because there's no effin' way it might come true. And besides, I'd kill to hear karami scene between Hidenobu x Houko. @__@ *hanaji* Lol.
Oh, I was away from MAL for quite some time and was busy with this and that! I can totally relate fighting the demon inside. It is then when I usually look up healing anime to suppress it! But looks like you have done a great job and returned to your usual self! Good job! /pats hagumi's head. <3
ReLIFE. What else can I add really! I really enjoyed it. However, I would have loved to see more of Arata and Chizuru in their older days! Probably one of the most adorable finale we got there. The emotions at the end was so reassuring! I think I got a bit teary! Haha!
Also, I loved Sekine-kun no Koi! I actually kicked myself for having it in my ptr for such a long time! So, thanks for giving me the push to read it! The dynamics between Sekine and Sara were so to the point! The room full of knitted love gave me goosebumps! Loved how Sara changed from being the granddaughter of the (nise)magic store to the love of his life! I was actually into Namidaame and Serenade (Hina x Takaaki forever!) for a while before I got distracted with life! Should have known better that it's from the same mangaka! I better catch up with that soon!
Something similar happened to me in the past and I had to grab things from the scratch. The worst thing was my HDD contained my graduation pictures which I lost. Mine was either a maxtor or a seagate. Can't recall. So many memories with my friends and classmates and all gone because of a stupid power failure. I tried recovering the data and even went to a few repair shops but they all failed me. But it's been so many years since then, that I actually moved on.
Do you know a fun fact? I am yet to watch episodes 200 and 201 of Gintama. Something I don't plan to do anytime soon. I heard Zura was in standby all the while so I want to keep him on standby for a while! Even some of my friends who watch a very few anime tell me that they have seen this and that and I think those are mediocre crappy shows. And I stop myself from telling them "if you haven't seen gintama you ain't seen nothing kono yarou!"
Please don't mention K-pop. I know some people are into them but I am not. My sisters will kill me if they read this but I felt sorry because they went to another country to see K-pop concert live! You probably understand how crazy they are about k-pop! But let's be honest, can they make music like this?
I am still ways to go. Just learn a few Kanji here or there when I am doing nothing. There was a time when I studied kanji characters for months for 10 minutes per day. I try to read japanese manga raw so I don't forget what I already learned. It will be a shame otherwise! It's never too late to start! There are many apps/ websites/ youtube channels out there.
Sekine-kun no Koi has been in my ptr for a long time now! Maybe I will give it a try now that you have mentioned it!
Oh, wow! I guess I will make my points under spoiler tag as well!
1. I haven't seen Zoku yet! I have been planning to start it soon but never managed to! So, Natori... what?! OMG, you spoiled me! But I am gonna watch it regardless as I am also waiting for the upcoming Natsume Movie! I always cry watching Natsume! Sometimes I cry because of it being so warm! You know, crying because of happiness. Speaking of crying, I think I cried watching quite a few anime over the last few years!
And you already have some of those in your ptw list. I cried watching Sangatsu no lion, Gintama° and Shouwa Rakugo. I still haven't completed Sangatsu no Lion but duh, I would have recommended it to you anyways! But really, I didn't sign up for Gintama° to cry like that. In one of the episodes, I just paused and cried for who knows how long. I think the only other anime that made me cry like that in the past was Clannad After Story. The moment he said "Why did you choose us?" I grabbed my mouth and wept on and on and on.
2. I am watching Gintama: Porori-hen, Shokugeki no Souma S3, Mahoutsukai no Yome (absolutely love the manga), Love Live! Sunshine S2 (well excuse me for having a rather soft spot for the entire Love Live! franchise, I mean I cried when the original series ended with a movie) and may watch Blend S (someone compared it to working!! you know) and Just Because! (of romance perhaps) but not sure.
3. I am yet to watch Kimi no Nawa. Have heard nothing but good things about it. Anime movies that I absolutely loved happened to be both from KyoAni— Tamako Love Story (2014) and Koe no Katachi (2016). Ookami Kodomo was so good! Hosada Mamoru is amazing!
4. In the past 5 years, I have read a lot of manga and some of which I actively follow right now. Like Akatsuki no Yona, Chihayafuru, Mahoutsukai no Yome, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime and finished reading quite a lot of manga, mostly shoujo/josei and some shounen/seinen. Btw, I have learned to read Japanese quite a bit now and I can read most of the shounen/shoujo manga quite easily in Japanese but still need some time to read josei/seinen manga as long as I have a dictionary opened, haha. I took it up as a challenge to learn Japanese and I know around 400 regular kanji now, I heard you need to know about 2000 to be fluent in reading Japanese so I have still ways to go.
My sisters have been pestering me to read more and more books and even bought me books online and got delivered to my place which I only think of as an added burden to me at times when I need to move apartments! =_=
I saw a couple of Sherlock episodes and I was gutted when I realized I saw the first two episodes of the latest season. It's a really well made series. When I am home though, I usually watch korean drama with my sisters. They are just crazy about korean drama.
It's strange how my brother wants to spoil me on what happens in sangatsu no lion. This brother of my mine would always tell me "What is so good about watching anime?" and now he holds me in ransom saying he would spoil me if I don't start watching this and that! Anime ruins people! Give me back my brother who despised me for watching anime! T_T
Seiyuu, huh? Yeah, I haven't been discussing with anyone about seiyuu since no one is as obsessed as I am. But I was never at your level. I am also glad that Hosoyan is back! Here's hoping there will be a continuation of Chihayafuru anime! Btw, did I tell you that I totally switched my ship from Taichi to Arata?! Did I?! It happened after I re-watched the anime series and read the manga. I just couldn't believe I would become such a huge Arata fan! The manga has been doing him justice in more recent chapters so I am really happy as well!
It's amazing how people can leave a lasting impression due to their efforts! I am sure Carrie Fisher had tremendous impact in the lives of many people!
I guess it's nearing or almost 10 years since we knew each other, haha! I am so happy to know how we remained friends even after such along time!
I will gladly take this opportunity to let you know about the anime that I would love to recommend to you! Here are the anime from last 5 years (not in any particular order):
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu (Excellent story telling that will leave you at awe, wonderful voice acting by some of the best seiyuu in the business) Hibike! Euphonium (Haven't seen many anime as detailed in art and animation like this one, but if those weren't enough, it is one of the best coming of age stories ever! And now in my all time top 10. The only anime to have ranked within top 5 of all Japanese anime sites) Sangatsu no Lion (You know what to expect from this one! Gotta catch up myself) Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (The first season was fun but it is the second season that does all the damages. Box of tissue highly recommended) ReLIFE (An interesting anime with a 29 year old NEET given an opportunity to relive his highschool days as a 16 year old) Hai to Gensou no Grimgar (A slow paced Isekai anime but it really makes you feel the characters' struggles) Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (Another Isekai anime but one of the funniest that came out in recent years) Shirobako (What I signed up for: Watch an anime about making anime. What I got: A story of realizing a dream. Understandable why it won Anime of the Year award) Non Non Biyori (An anime that will make you relax after a tiring day) Akatsuki no Yona (As a fan of the manga, it was one my most anticipated anime and it delivered. Often mistaken as a reverse harem, Akatsuki no Yona is a breathtaking story of a girl who would change the fate of an entire nation. Highly recommended that you read the manga which sits at 8.88 out of 10 in MAL. The ratings are not for show and it is one of the best sellers in Japan as well.) Death Parade (Probably MADHOUSE's best anime since Chihayafuru.) One Punch Man (In a cloak of an action anime, it is a social commentary) Ping Pong the Animation (The ridiculous animation aside, the story is simply fantastic. A well rounded story that won it Anime of the Year Award) Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Comedy and romance cannot get any better than this. All the characters are really endearing and easy to fall in love with their cute personalities) Nagi no Asukara (A fantasy story taking place in a world of the unknown, when people lived under the sea! Stunning visuals aside, the story is really amazing. P.A. works' Shirobako might have clinched the studio their first anime of the year award, Angel Beats! might have earned them the most number of digital copies ever sold from all of their productions to this date, but to me Nagi no Asukara is their best anime ever.) Gin no Saji (Hiromi Arakawa is simply an amazing author. Gin no Saji is one of the best slice of life stories that came out in recent years. Hachiken's journey in an agricultural school will let you experience a wonderful story of youth) Barakamon (Another excellent slice of life story of a calligraphist striving to find his touch and being told to live in an island where he meets the simplest of people and a very energetic girl for a 6 year old!) Haikyuu!! (This is just more than a sports shounen. No nonsense super-powered moves, it's a very down to earth story of a group of boys striving to become the best volleyball team in Japan's high school competition. But what impresses me the most is the involvement of all the characters in the story and in the games. It represents the true spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork) Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru (A dialogue heavy story. I am sure you have heard of OregaIru. I mean it's one of the bestselling LN over the last 5 years.) Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! (One of the cutest anime out there. Rikka and Yuuta are probably one of the cutest couples out there. Recommended as a a fun romance anime with added KyoAni's breathtaking visuals) Made in Abyss (Probably the best anime of entire of 2017, just finished last week and I thought how misleading a cover of an anime can really be)
Other anime worth mentioning: Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Shokugeki no Souma, Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!, Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, Boku no Hero Academia, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, Rokka no Yuusha, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works TV, Sidonia no Kishi, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, Nanatsu no Taizai, Amagi Brilliant Park, Zankyou no Terror, Free!, Log Horizon, White Album 2, Kyoukai no Kanata, Tokyo Ravens, Shingeki no Kyojin, Love Live! School Idol Project, Bungou Stray Dogs, Tsuki ga Kirei, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon, Amanchu!
Oops! I just realized this is getting out of hand!
Nah, I'm not the type to easily offend! I'm more like you, always assuming I'll bother people. As for IRC... been ages I've been there, I get everything from torrents. At least for now... I'll try to contact you tomorrow hopefully, now it's quite late for you.
Wow, nobody used this space for like.... ages. Hoozuki season 2 just continues from season 1. I personally like the show a lot, quite funny! I should send you a message on of these days, I just need to remember to do it in the morning here!
I have been watching fewer and fewer anime over the last few years and hardly follow most of the ongoing anime other than a few squeals. I think it has something to do with my age, too! Good thing that you still managed to find a reason to love anime like in the past! I would definitely recommend you to watch Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu! I know you'll love it! I could mention a few more anime that stood out to me over the past few years but I won't go there unless you would want some recoms, haha!
You are still the same hagumi to me the one I got to know in BW! I mean your way of writing msgs haven't changed at all! Next month will mark 10 years of me in MAL. TEN YEARS! I know it does but how time flies! Missed you so much, too!!
Where do you get those terms?! You are so funny at times! I know you might not be watching JoJo but I am wondering how many breads you have eaten over the last few days. :D
I hope you are out of that crazy work load now! At least I am. Taking things easy now that the year is coming to an end! Stay healthy! Eat healthy!
I am into Y-Youkai? W-Who said that?! Don't accuse me of s-something like that! I-It's just that I like N-Natsume Yuujinchou, Otome Y-Youkai Zakuro, Kamisama H-Hajimemashita, H-Hotarubi no M-Mori e etc. o-okay.
M-Momo e no T-Tegami? I-It's not l-like I am going to w-watch it j-just because y-you recommended, o-okay!
/me adds it to his watchlist.
LOL, you and your Hosoya <3 <3. So he got to be in that bit role part and you still recognized him. Hmm. Impressive!
You must be watching Magi right now right? I mean this Masrur guy has a nice voice you know. So you better be watching it! Besides, this typical shounen anime is damn good. At least at this point of time (replying just after watching the 11th episode!)
Also, eagerly waiting for Sugita Tomokazu-san to appear in it! And he is the most handsome character in Magi by a long shot!
Mistaaa Pleyadesu! I am actually enjoying R;N much more than the other noitaminA anime right now. Actually, I have put psy-pass on hold because I have grown this interest in watching non-violence anime over time. Thriller is okay, but anime such as psy-pass is hard to take. I know you might put a finger on my list and tell me that "Hey! You are watching BTOOOM!" but you see even though it has a lot of violence, but not as sick as those in psy-pass.
What is your new year's resolution? I am planning to add 100 more anime in my almost reaching 400 list!
Congratulations to your younger brother! But you can never get old if you keep on loving anime! Hang in there! <3
Tonakai? Nice shortening lol. Rest assured. Brains Base will make sequels to it because it is already appreciated largely by both male and female anime fans and I have strong belief that the digital media will sell a lot. They have made four successful seasons of Natsume so I am expecting the same from this anime too!
Correct me if I am wrong, isn't Sukinayo's whole point is Sakurai Takahiro-san sexy voice and cute Mei-Mei moments?
I know! I know what you meant there! I loved the mantama short anime too. God!! Only Gintama can pull stunts like that! So many anime squeezed into that OP. I am sure someone will make a list of it in the forums and I will just read the list to see how many I might have missed.
I am yet to see this week's PsyPass and R;N really. But between the two, I think I will enjoy R;N more because it's already snowing here like crazy and dark themed anime would be the last thing I need right now to make a mess out of my life :D
Chihayfuru! I just cannot wait to hear Chihaya again. I love her so much. And yes, Hosoyan will probably have more air time in the second season. I have reasons to believe he will probably take the torch from Mamoru and light up the show even more. But coming back to the anime, honestly, I am kind of Chihaya x Tachi shipper. I dunno why. Probably because he was shown more in the first season and there were more moments with him than with Arata. I mean, I like Arata. but something about Taichi makes him a more attractive partner for Chihaya.
I can talk about Chihaya like forever, but anyway, I will resist myself. Coming back to the original shows I was supposed to discuss, yeah, both noitaminA shows are done with Production I.G. this season and I have to say, they have put a lot into animation. I love the style of Production I.G because they have such a wide range of animation, but more often they just blend perfectly with the anime. Kimi ni Todoke is from them, Kemono no Souja Erin is from them, and so is Ghost in the Shell: SAC. That's like a huge spectrum of animation yet they are so fitting for all of these shows.
On the other hand, we saw quite the drop in animation quality for both Sukitte and Shinsekai Yori. I was thinking about redrawing those episodes myself lol, they were so badly done. Kinomoto Touya? Seriously? She is my younger of the two older sisters' crush too!
Urobuchi Gen was the primary reason why I was looking forward to the anime after what he did with Madoka and F/Z. So yes, expecting good things from this anime too.
For your record, the answer would be a big Y E S! for all four shows you have mentioned and I am enjoying them a lot. :D
Sakurasou is an ecchi anime. But that's what I thought after watching the first episode. But not anymore. It is probably going to be one of the best shows of the season at this rate. The rating for the anime jumping from 7.12 to 7.94 after the third episode speaks a lot about how the anime has caught many followers by surprise. Personally I am loving it. The setting is almost like Honey and Clover. And I am expecting great moments like Toradora in it! This could be J.C.'s one of the best shows in recent years. :)
I mean Clannad, Kanon, Air and Angel Beats!. I have loved all of those shows and I am well recognized as a Clannatard in IRC channels. And it makes me happy when anyone tells me that! For someone who loved everything Key had to offer in the past, and to ask him whether he is watching it of all the people! T_T
Little Busters! It's hard not to love Maeda Jun's works. I mean happiness is a disease that spreads with Maeda Jun's works. But I am also always ready with tissue boxes because you don't know when to get hit by his heart-wrenching moments. I am yet to see any of his shows where I haven't cried.
As for the anime adaptation, I would say J.C. actually did pretty good to keep the characters lovely and lively. The animation isn't that great, but if they can deliver the story from the VN, it just cannot fail. Personally I am already in love with the anime after getting to know Komari-chan's Shiawase Spiral Theory. :)
Chuunibyou is rivaling Psy-pass with it's stunning animation if I dare say! Nothing less expected from Kyoani. But that's just the small part of what makes the anime an outstanding piece of entertainment. Jun-Jun is back with his Lelouch madness, only that it sounds so much better. Rikka is a magic-box full of moe. Nibutani is beautiful. Kumin-senpai is the happiest napping girl in the world and Zeeeath! is awesome-DES! I think alongside Little Busters!, this is the only anime I am rating at 9, because after coming from work, watching this anime and the Lite 5 minute episodes just bright up my day! A serious mood changer for the better-DES! :D
Magi looks interesting. Very interesting. I am following it with quite a lot of expectations. Actually the anime you have mentioned in your previous post C:B, Zetsuen and K didn't interest me the way all four of the shows you have asked for my recommendation did.
Actually, I am ready to see C:B, Zetsuen and K in one go. For the last one, I may not even finish because it never seems to be my type. I am enjoying Psy-pass and R;N too. But the four anime you have asked my recommendation for, are probably those shows I am looking forward to see week-in week-out as much as the three shoujo anime along with Gintama this fall! :D
If I wanted to make a list from priority 1 through the least (excluding the shoujo and Gintama, which are for given that are in my top priority), the list would look like this:
Oh! So you are already reading the manga of Sukitte and Tonari! I love both shows. But I gotta say Tonari might as well become my all time favourite shoujo anime. Well not may be entirely true because I am still a huge fan of Natsume. Strange how both of them are from Brains Base. Well actually, Brains Base is win! I hope they make a sequel to Kuragehime too. Coming back from my wishful thinking, Tonari is probably the best show this season. It could well become the best show of the entire year for me! I love Haru. And I love Shizuku for falling in love with him!
Sukitte is nice too. The last episode had a huge drop of animation quality so it was a disappointment. The story progress was overall nice and I am approving more of Kurosawa as we see more of him. Each time I hear the OP, it takes me to all those wonderful memories of Furuba. I cannot believe I missed Okazaki Ritsuko's voice so much. And the ED! Sunohair! You should know better than anyone where we have heard his songs!
I am loving Kamisama Hajimemashita too! The last episode of it was so damn cute. Nanami is love. And Tomoe is such a badass familiar. I was expecting a typical shoujo anime from it, but it seems I will enjoy it much more than I thought I would. The art is like those classic old days' shoujo anime form the late 90s. And the pacing so far has been perfect. And I love the OP and the ED.
The only anime in your list I haven't enjoyed much is K. The animation is nice and all, but something about the anime doesn't really appeal me.
R;N could be either hit, or miss. I loved S;G but didn't like C;H. It just didn't work with me. But yeah, it seems we are in a timeline where time machine isn't invented. Yay! for a successful Operation Skuld!
I am enjoying the other shows in your list though. Gintama aside, which is a given, I thought Urobuchi Gen's Psycho-pass has huge potential. Reminds me of Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell and Minority Report.
Code Breaker seemed a pretty good shounen pick for me. Oogami is such a badass. It is hard to find righteous shounen leads who will actually kill for the cause. And he is just taking out people at will. Pretty win if I had to say. Just that Sakura is bit too airhead for my liking. :/
Shinsekai Yori. Dark anime is dark. The first four episodes got me worried, because I cannot see anything but dark story ahead. :(
Zetsuen no Tempest is sad. Every time they show the flashbacks, I go myself, why? why? She is so beautiful, yet why? T_T
I like Japanese music too. Of course I am more into songs directly coming from anime and VNs in particular, but if I like songs from certain artist, I actually listen to their non-anime, non-VN related songs too! I have around 40 gigs of Japanese songs, so you can imagine I am quite a fan! :)
What are your impressions on the three shoujo shows this season?
I always start with 20 anime per season and half of them either get stuck midway and shoved off to on hold, even worse, dropped. So it's not a big deal :D
Gintama was brilliant this week, right? Yeah, I was like yeah! Nakamura Yuuichi and then he turned out to be complete jerk. :( Gintoki is Gintoki. No one can replace him.
I knew Sugita-san and Yuuichi-san are close friends from somewhere I read online. Didn't know they hosted such a show. Looks like I will be doing some searching online with Tokyo Encounter since you sounded it is fun! :)
Shoujo series this season are amazing, right? Yes! I was really surprised with the first episodes of all three of the shows. We hardly ever see chuu~ moments in shoujo anime and they started right off the bat! even though my favourite kissu-sheen was Tonari's. Haru is so unpredictable. I love Shizuku for falling for him! The second was Kami-sama's even though it was a dire situation and Nanami had to kiss that thing since she had to save herself. But I started to like that since the second episode and decided to stick with his name. So from here onward, I will call him Tomoe. So, ironically the kiss shown in the first episode of Sukitte wasn't much appreciated by me. But Sakurai Takahiro amended with the following episode (GOOD JOB SAKURAI-SAN!) and now I think the second episode had one of the most romantic moments in any anime.
Btw, you have to update your watch list. Otherwise I might spoil you. <_<
I wanted to talk so much about the three shows but your backdated list kept my lips shut. I am not talking to you anymore. >,<
Yeah I noted the two poor usagi. Was happy with the old hag youkai getting injured. It should have stayed away from my Nanami in the first place.
What is shamisen to Pando Hero by GUMI? That's one big name for a game. Boku wa omae no gaem no koto mada shiranai :(
We are almost like osananajimi when it comes to how long we have known each other! I am sorry for not keeping in touch myself :(
I have seen the first two episodes of [IB] and the first two episodes of [AraAra] and I have decided to stick with the latter. Mainly because their translation is accurate and seems natural. [IB] has been a bit too liberal for my liking for this anime. When I was reading the translations, and even with my limited knowledge of the language I could almost point out every 3 out of 5 lines where they changed what is being said to something entirely of their own. The inherent meaning didn't change, but I guess it is okay for those who are okay with just understanding what is going on. For someone like me who is emphasising on learning the language by watching anime (there you go, I have revealed it) it was not a nice experience. But if you are okay with liberal translation, then [IB] is as good as you can get. :)
I am glad to have you back in MAL. Since we have three lovely shoujo anime this season, I hope I get to share with you more on them through SMS and MAL.
Btw, if you haven't seen it yet, you should seriously watch Gintama recaps :D

Non Non Biyori (An anime that will make you relax after a tiring day)
Akatsuki no Yona (As a fan of the manga, it was one my most anticipated anime and it delivered. Often mistaken as a reverse harem, Akatsuki no Yona is a breathtaking story of a girl who would change the fate of an entire nation. Highly recommended that you read the manga which sits at 8.88 out of 10 in MAL. The ratings are not for show and it is one of the best sellers in Japan as well.)
Death Parade (Probably MADHOUSE's best anime since Chihayafuru.)
One Punch Man (In a cloak of an action anime, it is a social commentary)
Ping Pong the Animation (The ridiculous animation aside, the story is simply fantastic. A well rounded story that won it Anime of the Year Award)
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Comedy and romance cannot get any better than this. All the characters are really endearing and easy to fall in love with their cute personalities)
Nagi no Asukara (A fantasy story taking place in a world of the unknown, when people lived under the sea! Stunning visuals aside, the story is really amazing. P.A. works' Shirobako might have clinched the studio their first anime of the year award, Angel Beats! might have earned them the most number of digital copies ever sold from all of their productions to this date, but to me Nagi no Asukara is their best anime ever.)
Gin no Saji (Hiromi Arakawa is simply an amazing author. Gin no Saji is one of the best slice of life stories that came out in recent years. Hachiken's journey in an agricultural school will let you experience a wonderful story of youth)
Barakamon (Another excellent slice of life story of a calligraphist striving to find his touch and being told to live in an island where he meets the simplest of people and a very energetic girl for a 6 year old!)
Haikyuu!! (This is just more than a sports shounen. No nonsense super-powered moves, it's a very down to earth story of a group of boys striving to become the best volleyball team in Japan's high school competition. But what impresses me the most is the involvement of all the characters in the story and in the games. It represents the true spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork)
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru (A dialogue heavy story. I am sure you have heard of OregaIru. I mean it's one of the bestselling LN over the last 5 years.)
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! (One of the cutest anime out there. Rikka and Yuuta are probably one of the cutest couples out there. Recommended as a a fun romance anime with added KyoAni's breathtaking visuals)
Made in Abyss (Probably the best anime of entire of 2017, just finished last week and I thought how misleading a cover of an anime can really be)
Other anime worth mentioning: Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Shokugeki no Souma, Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru!, Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, Boku no Hero Academia, Akagami no Shirayuki-hime, Rokka no Yuusha, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works TV, Sidonia no Kishi, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu, Nanatsu no Taizai, Amagi Brilliant Park, Zankyou no Terror, Free!, Log Horizon, White Album 2, Kyoukai no Kanata, Tokyo Ravens, Shingeki no Kyojin, Love Live! School Idol Project, Bungou Stray Dogs, Tsuki ga Kirei, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon, Amanchu!
Oops! I just realized this is getting out of hand!
You are still the same hagumi to me the one I got to know in BW! I mean your way of writing msgs haven't changed at all! Next month will mark 10 years of me in MAL. TEN YEARS! I know it does but how time flies! Missed you so much, too!!
How are you doing?!
I am yet to see this week's PsyPass and R;N really. But between the two, I think I will enjoy R;N more because it's already snowing here like crazy and dark themed anime would be the last thing I need right now to make a mess out of my life :D
Boku wa omae no gaem no koto mada shiranai :(
I have seen the first two episodes of [IB] and the first two episodes of [AraAra] and I have decided to stick with the latter.
