This one was a interesting volume. I like how Majeh and the gang traveled to the Soora Kingdom and meet the one guy from way back in volume 1. I thought that the soora demon and Majeh were going to fight again at first when they meet but it looks like they are calling it a truce for now. I'm not sure why Majeh went to see him. One reason I could think of is that he's gathering strong and powerful warriors to help him fight against Murin.
Speaking of Murin it looks like he's still to strong for Majeh. I say that because if Majeh was strong enough to fight Murin then he wouldn't of escape through the portal to the soora kingdom while leaving the other fighters and that one giant guy behind sacrificing their lives fighting and getting brutely killed by Murin.
Also it's good to see that Cerberus has escape from his prison and rescued the King of Hell. I'm curious what the King of Hell and the old man and the end said to Cerberus to make him show a shocking expression on his face on the last panel of the book. My guess is they probably want Cerberus to transform back to his demon form and help Majeh fight against Murin.
I apologize for not being as active as much on MAL. Especially in our club since it’s been dead for so long now. =( If you haven’t visited the club lately I just recently updated the front page with a new profile and added a new id card theme which you can request by visiting the links below.
SERIES STATUS
In Korea, Daiwon has been releasing a new chapter of KOH in almost every issue of their magazine called comic champ. As new chapters get released I’ll update the series status on the front of those new chapters. They’re now 36 volumes released in Korea and volume 37 is expected to be release sometime this coming month.
As for Tokyopop, they still haven't published any new volumes and it's now been over two years since the last volume was released. In hoping of having TP publish more volumes in the US I’ve tried to get more people to show their interest in the series by either emailing and/or posting in TP forums. I’ve posted a thread on their forums questioning about King of Hell future and if they continue to release any more volumes. If you guys want to post your interest about King of Hell here’s the link to the thread that I made:
Hopefully the more the fans show their interest in the series the better the chances that TP can publish more volumes.
MEMBER CARDS
I’ve made a new member card that’s available to view in the ID Card thread. If you haven’t requested an ID card before and would like to request one, please post your requests here:
Hey grayfox, just leting you know that volume #37 looks like it's been posted to be released around sometime this February. I'll let you know the exact date when they post it. ^^
Right now I have mix feelings on how strong Majeh is currently right now since it's still hard to tell how powerful he's since that old mad revived him. The only challenges majeh faced so far after his revival is fighting those forest creatures that he had to fight which looks like he was having some trouble against them. I bet Murin could easily defeat those creatures with a couple of punches. We probably will have to wait around the first of Janurary till volume 37 is released since Korea only has half of the volume released in Comic Champ so far.
BTW if you can do a favor and post on this thread your interest towards KOH and that you would like to see more volumes in the near future. You have to make a account on their site. Hopefully the more people we get posting on that thread the more that tokyopop will notice that we want them to translate and publish the latest KOH volumes.
That would be awesome if an anime would come out. =D I would for sure buy the dvds if they're ever to come in the US.
BTW I did some more digging on some Korean websites (which wasn't easy >_<) on any info I can get from King of Hell in the magazine they release in Korea comic champ. There isn't much info that I found but their latest issue which was released on October 15 which details that King of Hell chapter 303 is the latest chapter released there in Korea. Here's where I found that info.
lol thanks =D I just got volume 36 the other day and reading through this one not much happens except Majeh and gang look like they're now in the other world befriending the big giant that Murin attacked.
The king of Hell looks like he's been caputered by Murin which after the he gets caputered they talk about the past and the manga shows past recap between KOH and Murin showing how the KOH used to overpower Murin in battle. Other than that Murn has some gals which looks like young witches have him and the King of Hell swallow a seed of some kind which then they both spit out a spider. I'm not sure what the spiders represent but it looks like it gives them illusions of some kind and the last part of the book shows Murin talking with a child which it looks like he's apart of Murins illusion.
Lastly one of the chapters in this book celebrates the 300th chapter of the series.
Yea same with me even though I reread it at least 10 times by now I want to make sure that I didn't miss anything. One other thing i need to go back on is counting how many demons majeh has killed up to this point. I think he has a couple more to go.
I haven't seen anything yet. It should be about time for them to release the next volume of KOH. I been checking out that page that I posted in your profile awhile ago. They usually get information first on upcoming releases in Korea.
Just FYI nothing new yet on volume 36 of KOH but here's a link to a good site
that's lists upcoming series that are releasing soon in Korea. You have to click on the link on the left of the page called New Cartoon Guide to see if they're any updates to the site.
Yea I can't wait either. The way the story is going right now the battle with murin will probably last another few more volumes. When you finally get 35 let me know what your thoughts are about the volume.
