* 10/10: God-tier; legendary. Appeals to me on an intense personal level. Does a ton of things right, and does a few specific things better than literally everything else. A show I'll probably end up watching many times throughout my life.
* 9/10: One of the greats. Iconic in some sense and to some degree. Does lots of things right, and has some outstanding strengths. Likely to re-watch many times.
* 8/10: Very cool shows that I would strongly recommend to myself. Would re-watch. 8+ is the cutoff for shows I am likely to talk about a lot.
* 7/10: Good anime. Shows that I definitely enjoyed and would recommend to myself.
* 6/10: Shows that bring something to the table and that I'm more or less glad I watched. The primary difference between 6's and 7's for me is that I am likely to finish 7's, but I might drop a 6.
* 5/10: I would tell myself not to watch this anime unless I was exceedingly bored, in which case, sure whatever. Typically these shows are either somewhat boring, or have some gaping flaws / feel incomplete in some manner.
* 4/10: This anime is boring, stupid, or an outright waste of time.
* 3/10: This anime is very bad, but I don't quite yet feel a compulsion to complain about it.
* 2/10: This anime is very bad - in fact it's so horrendous that I want to complain about it loudly to people.
* 1/10: Appalling on a legendary scale. So bad it becomes enjoyable, especially with friends.
