Ah well, that's fine. Everyone has different interests and taste. But you ain't wrong with Berserk '97's soundtracks. I listen to Guts' theme almost everyday.
I think my outrage came from the fact that I have watched the entire series, where as you have not, so I don't think you have experienced the best OSTs yet, though your opinion might still be the same. Voice acting in AOT is good, but Yuki Kaji is definitely the top tier in the series.
The story only gets better to be honest, so there is still much to change in terms of your opinion.
A good soundtrack in my opinion is that of Haikyuu!! made my by Yuuki Hayashi. Basically, every song hits the spot. Good music partnered with a good anime.
If you put it that way then I understand. But hey, Berserk 97's soundtrack is god tier, heck even the newer adaptation has amazing music. I definitely love Susumu Hirasawa's overall style. Personal favourites of his are 4-Gatsu (Guts' theme), Sign, Aria, Indra and Black Swordsman (unleashed choir).
i read your Attack on Titan review. How can you say the music is mediocre, even not special? Maybe its simply down to a difference in taste, but like, it definitely isn't generic in any means, after all it was made by the talented Hiroyuki Sawano.
