The main reasons why love isn't like that anymore are that the majority is no longer religious, the invention of the modern smartphone by Apple, and females in the West are responsible for 90% of breakups and 80% of divorces. They're too easily distracted. You'd be lucky if a marriage lasts more than seven years.

Last romance ero anime that got released was Hatsukoi Jikan or Hatsukoi Time

Yeah man. Overall the business needs a lot more money as creators can do more of what they want. Look at the recent example of Nier: Automata Ver1. Yoko Taro wanted a sex scene between the two main characters but was denied. People were stunned because, first off he's the creator, and two, anime in Japan is no longer primetime, which is why it's more explicit these days. I wonder though if he even followed up on that by asking for the scene to be exclusive in the Blu-ray release as usually they are uncensored and/or have improved animation and extra content.

Other than that, I was finally able to make time to do a final revision of my review. Nothing removed. Just more details added.

From a business perspective (which is where everything starts) the ero anime business missed the ride when DMM did their R18.com initiative back in 2014 and especially in 2016. That site was what popularized live-action JAVs immensely globally. AV actresses i.e. JULIA, Hitomi Tanaka, Kurea Hasumi, Ruri Saijo, Shinoda Yu, Anri Okita, Kaho Shibuya, etc then all became household names overnight. Former R18 gave you three options. You could pay for a title to stream only, download in either SD or HD (it took R18 until 2016 to host it HD), or a monthly unlimited plan.

The problem was that R18 never decided to be up to date with everything on DMM including ero anime so that unfortunately stayed exclusive to Japan. You look at some of these illegal streaming sites today (which appeared well after R18) hosting ero anime and some titles have reached over 20 MILLION views. If that business were smarter and had embraced R18, first off, it would have forced them into the HD standard. It'd be later that some studios realized this i.e. BOMB! CUTE! BOMB! via DLSite as it would be revealed later that over 30% of its paying customers were Overseas. Point is that the ero anime business would be far more lucrative today.

But by 2022 that ship has all but sailed due to VISA and Mastercard currently still waging a soft power war against Japan. R18 was forced to shut down in January 2023. So it doesn't matter now. Media Masters is currently trying to resurrect the vibe of the 2000s by releasing uncensored versions of previous titles again i.e. Maurading Milf (Enbi). Only way I can see Japan with the getback is by creating their own global online payment system.

Really though I'm not surprised at the current state of ero anime as there's irony here. See. Part of the reason why JAVs became very popular globally in the first place was that brotha AV actor, Victor. (For the record, Victor's popularity which resulted in him being the #1 AV actor in Japan was the sole reason why that Japanese YouTuber Nobita / The Japan Reporter has great disdain for Black folks as he was an avid JAV fan himself.) He, like many AV actresses in Japan, unfortunately, was forced to retire in 2022 due to the new government law on adult entertainment.

However, in ero anime, they rarely ever adapt anything that features the Black man (and I do mean rare as last was 2017's SWAMP STAMP Anime Edition).
I asked, more like called out ORCSOFT on Twitter about their 2014 title Otonari no Kokujin Otto ni Dakarete Nakimodaeru Saiai no Tsuma. Sono Hikikae ni Ajiwau Kokujin Tsuma no Hada. -Big Black Cock & Big Black Butt & My Sweet Wife- (お隣の黒人夫に抱かれて啼き悶える最愛の妻。 その引き換えに味わう黒人妻の肌。 -Big Black Cock & Big Black Butt & My Sweet Wife-) being skipped over and never being adapted for animation and they immediately responded. He Liked my response after, which confirmed that no studio wanted to touch it.

The point of Japanese entertainment first and foremost is to promote Japanese culture aka the soft power. What would an ero anime set in modern-day Texas, USA be like? Mamahaha (localized Overseas as The Duchess of Busty Mounds) was set in a Western setting that ended in murder. Bible Black ended up being extremely popular outside Japan partly due to blood and gore violence. Right now the U.N. is trying to get at Japan for anime/manga for supposedly promoting violence against females and children. While its just bullshit social Western soft power intimidation (VISA and Mastercard are already doing this financially), when you read the Replies to these NTR titles, a number of them do call for violence against the Fallen Heroine. That's because here in America, that's what usually happens. Reason why that is because unlike the Japanese, Westerners are very clingy to their partners.

Yeah. I read that a while back in the Replies section of Takamori Ishii's pinned tweet. That was just a Twitter handle's fan fiction afterthought response to the feature at the time. For some reason, Twitter listed it as spam and he didn't get any replies on it either. While it was amusing, the reality is that in Japan, once its over, its actually over. That's why for example, the ex-boyfriend (or childhood friend) is a subcategory in live-action NTR. The pride.

Single mothers and/or divorced women get shunned by society for that exact reason. A perfect example of what I mean is Fall 2024's Dandadan Episode 7 "To A Kinder World", which is one of the best episodes of anything I've ever seen, and I've been doing this since the early 1990s.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
