There are more than one street, there are the main street and other smaller streets ! There are indeed huge shops with lots of floors, and a few other shops hidden, there is also the district of Nakano which is an otaku district, in a covered shopping street called "Nakano Broadway", 'I found some figures for the equivalent of $2 or $3 haha

And no, my friend was not Japanese, he's french too (we went to Japan together with a third friend) but we lived in two different neighborhoods :) But I had Japanese and Korean roomates, it was really fun !
And yes it is totally forbidden to take photos in the Ghibli museum, there are agents that survey most of the rooms ... And we are so busy looking around that we completely forget the photos xD
For my part I do science education , I want to become a Primary School Teacher :)

Yeah, I went every day in Akihabara ! Because I had a friend who lived in the neighborhood and we had to join him ! Even though I was expecting something much more huge, in the end we quickly went around (but there was an otaku market two days a week where there were plenty of figurines for nothing)
The Ghibli Museum was really exciting, even though it's veeeeery small ! Furthermore it's impossible to take pictures inside the museum... : '(

It was really cool despite the stifling heat that we do not have in France x) The country is very nice with very friendly people and always ready to help us (this is probably what I liked the most) and we were able to bind some friendships with our flatmates (all Japanese and Korean girls)
Also full of wonderful discoveries (temples, parks, famous neighborhoods, summer festivals, fireworks etc.)
In short, it was awesome 8D

Actually, there are lots of mangas available in France but I buy very few mangas for three years (since I am studying and I am paying my studies and my rent alone) (and I tend to buy CDs and vinyl or buy concert tickets xD)
