I definitely prefer MAL over AniList for many reasons. The UI is more oldschool, which I like a lot, and the customizability on MAL is way better. ZeXaL is actually pretty underrated in my opinion, although, I see why people have problems with it. It's rather nostalgic to me because it's the first anime I remember watching as it aired, aside from Soul Eater; but I started that one later. ZeXaL I watched and followed since day one. How are you enjoying Duel Monsters so far? I'm sadly not as big on it as most people. The duels felt like a total clusterfuck to me; it's not as accurate to the actual rules as some later seasons. But it's still great in its own rights. 5D's was special to me because I could really connect with the characters more than any other season of Yu-Gi-Oh. Aki in particular potentially being my first ever hardcore anime crush, haha. The duels are also probably the most intense out of any installment in the franchise. 5D's OST really sells a lot of the show for me. My inner 9 year old bursts out screaming any time I hear those Masaaki Endoh songs. I could go into more depth on why I love it so much, but I feel like we can trust each other's opinions enough to the point where we get it.

Yeah, tell me about it... 2020 really feels like one of the most embarrassingly terrible years I've ever gone through. Maybe it's not "the worst year ever" like I hear some people say, but I'd be hard-pressed to tell you the last time I ever heard any positive news about literally everything. Seems like it's just been trainwreck after trainwreck after trainwreck. Sheesh. I was actually thinking about rewatching Fun Fun Pharmacy. Downloaded all of it, so it's just a matter of time. I loved its attitude and atmosphere the first time around. It's just one of those incredibly genuine shows that makes it hard not to be happy watching it, kinda like Cardcaptor Sakura in a way. Precure is also something I should give another go. I've finished a lot of the seasons, but it was at a time where I didn't appreciate magical girl series as much as I do now. Nowadays I can even get enjoyment from debatably terrible shows like Mermaid Melody, haha. I'm glad to hear you guys having a good time, though!

Things have been very rough for me this whole year. I won't go into detail, but I appreciate your kind nature! You and Wizzy never fail to make me crack a smile.

I feel like it would be best to work your way up, when it comes to the first Rance game though, only the original 1989 version is translated so I wouldn't recommend playing it due to how unplayable it is, I'm not saying all the other 80s-90s retro Rance games are unplayable (in fact every game from 3 onwards is amazing) but as for the first two (the orginal version of the second game isn't even translated) I would advise playing them. When it comes to the first game, there is a hentai called Rance 01: Quest for Hikari which perfectly encapsulates the events of the first game in the series enough for you to understand the plot, then you can start playing Rance 02: The Rebellious Maidens, the second game graphical remake, and from there on you can play the third, fourth game etc.

Yeah, that's about how it goes for someone with such a high time investive level of backlog. Thanks for the nice comments, the way you styled your profile is cool and it's great to see another appreciator of Tomoyo's character. She's such an adorable little troll you can't help but be drawn by her majestic voice.

The Rance series as a whole is perhaps my favorite long running series of games to date as they're a lot to look forward to and the continuity between each and every one of them is great, despite it being the seventh game in the series, Sengoku Rance actually does a pretty good job at being a gateway entry into the franchise due to it being a pretty stand alone title, and it's immersive gameplay alongside great dialouge are what make people addicted to the game, after you beat Sengoku Rance, going to the earlier games and seeing how they evolve with each and every entry is a fantastic idea.

Black Rose Dragon is awesome. I have some of my fondest memories with 5D's overall. Aki was a great character.
