I tend to listen to music (my favorite genres are mostly soft rock and country music)a lot more than I am watching anime. On the other hand over the first month since I joined on the site, I have started to get more into anime...
Though I will try as much anime as I can as long as it interests me (mainly since I don't want to watch a show if I am not fully interested in if that kind of makes sense...).

have you tried other genres like electro or jazz, different genres than anything you've heard? for what youve said about you liking music though im not surprised you like a musical anime, they really make those well usually. ive yet to see kimi no uso, but i have seen nodame cantabile and i can say i never wouldve thought id enjoy it as much as i did. you might like nodame cantabile it is a romance involving the whole musician school thing.
what all types of anime are you into have you found your preferences yet?
when you say soft rock i cant think of any bands lol but i do think like bath and beyond music..

I once thought I had more fun things to do then watch anime because i had watched 2 boring series. But after i saw more extremely good anime's i though of that There are so many good anime's and u should keep watching!
