I read a very interesting hypothesis somewhere on the SAO: II forums, particularly a thread that questioned why people hated the second season so much...
It was basically that, the people who pull fiascos on the forums about how SAO is so bad, still watch it each week, and still comment on it.
I'd say they love it so much, they hate it. They hate the things that they don't like in the series they love so much... I mean why else would all these trolls come out of their caverns, and take the time to comment.
I felt that summed it up pretty well. Also hatred is the easier path rather than love/respect. Whereas love requires compassion and empathy (things that take effort), hate only requires ignorance (super easy thing lol).
1st: Great Blue Exorcist review. This is definitely on my Top 10 Favorite Anime.
2nd: I can understand why you didn't like ALfheim. I too think Reki Kawahara made some pretty poor decisions during it(I'd still consider it a pretty good arc though).
I only have one question: How did Kirito come off as a douche to you when he soloed? I know it's MUCH better when Asuna teams up with him, but I thought the Moonlit Black Cats incident gave him good reason to solo like that... (._.)
Firstly, love your profile picture, Ao no Exorcist was such a brilliant series. Had to comment, I had a lot of nostalgia hit me reading through your SAO review.
I had forgotten about Kirito's infamous "soloist" image he had during SAO... those were good times, and it was like a god-sent when Asuna teamed up with him and it wasn't just him by his lonesome out grinding!
