Oh boy you haven't seen sh*t yet, trust me it's gonna become pretty epic when dark arcs gonna start... Yea I know what you mean by saying it's realistic. Update me when you will watch Hisoka vs Kastro about how did you find it and what you will think about the fighting system...
Don't even think of reading the manga, spoilers are unacceptable in HxH trust me :P. Just keep me informed about how you like it and what did you like the most.(I am a fanboy :P)
I freaking envy you watching HxH, I want to erase my memory of it and watch it again :P. Just wait till darker arcs and for the last arc that is being animated now to witness the epicness of this show :P.
Hey I was going through my anime list today and came across a series I'd meant to mention to Tom that I think he might like and I think you might like it also if you haven't already seen it.
Yeah I feel the same way, I joked to one of my other friends that I was watching a lolicon anime for that reason. It happens to me in other anime too but I agree with you, the girls are def moe and any kind of fanservice beyond that is well just icky to me and I don't want to fuck kittens either just so we're clear on that...
Nicely put and as for exploitation, just wait until they start showing more panty shots >_<
As I already said I was drawn to it by the art style but even in the 12 episodes and 2 specials I wasn't left with anything too profound and you're her cheerfulness was somewhat contagious and I couldn't bring myself to hate the series even if it is the sort of thing I avoid most of the time.
Hey, I just finished watching Sora No Woto and was going to tell you what I thought about it noticed that apparently you're in the process of watching it too. I just finished watching the specials, episode 7.5 and episode 13) I gave it a favorable rating of 7 out of 10 but the main appeal of the series for me was the art and the music though it seemed the sound track was limited. Its not the sort of anime I really like to watch very often as it felt like just a feel good series that wasn't too serious or deep, later on it had a bit more emotional weight and meaning that I enjoyed but it wasn't enough and I've seen better. Plus the character designs made me think it was trying to capitalize too much on the moe factor and appeal to lolicons but that might be me being too harsh.
yeah i'll watch it, but just not anytime soon aha, wanna at least finish michiko, which is actually worth watching aha..... but yeah, at least they stop being dicks towards her, and it has good music, so i guess its not the worst anime i will ever watch! Just a shame, had high hopes from the first couple of episodes!
meh, i watched another episode, and im not sure..... like i said, it baffles me.... that one minute there shooting cannons and the poor girl and shooting her (i understand there not trying to kill her) and then they just basically ignore her at the baseball game, then just do something as immature as make her do shit on her test.. are they just trying to make her loose her role as class president or something? If so... the main characters are just dicks, and i dislike them! But yeah your right... the music alone is amazing, and at least I have taken some really good music out of it, I will watch it, but i'd just rather be watching all the other good anime that first ( soul eater, michiko, clannad after story etc etc)
I hadn't heard from you for a while and was thinking about you just today in fact.
I suppose you're talking about Sora no Woto? It belongs in my "On hold" folder currently, I got about half way but I think the episode order was out of order, they had one episode twice so one was missing from where it should have been. I finish everything I watch so as soon as I find the episodes somewhere else I'll go back to it.
Its very much a relaxing show, the kind you watch when you really don't care to watch anything too deep. I think its a bit too moe for my tastes but in the reviews on MAL people claimed that I should NOT dismiss it based on that but I've as yet to see something profound but will stick with it. One thing, the art is rather pretty and the girls themselves are adorable but I think I'm a bit too much of a realist: There is NO way anyone in their right mind would induct such tiny little lolis into the military, the guns are bigger and taller than they are and is just absurd. Also the setting is quite strange, it seems like WW1 era Europe but takes place in a post-apocalyptic Japan (I think) where technology is at an early 20th century level.
I'm not telling you not to watch it however, I'll get back to you once I've progressed into the later episodes.
Thanks for your recommendation, I'll keep it in mind. I had heard of it before and seen promotional ads for it but didn't think it would suit my taste but if you vouch for it I'll take a look eventually. I had forgotten that my "Plan to Watch" list is pretty long and I'd like to thin it out some more.
Hey, I haven't talked to you nearly as much as I would like to. I've been on a hiatus from anime and manga for a while which got in the way of me interacting with people on this site. I pretty much already know what I'm going to watch next but since we have very high compatability I thought I'd ask you if there was anything you had in mind that I should check out?
stop being so social and talking to people! He's my Groz, and you can't have him xD (btw Groz if you read this, I hope you don't think im too much of a weirdo) xD

Its got a similar feel to Sora No Woto but much more serious and emotionally weighty. Here http://myanimelist.net/anime/9989/Ano_Hi_Mita_Hana_no_Namae_wo_Bokutachi_wa_Mada_Shiranai/
