I was just looking for verification, so I'd know for future reference.
Yeah, that's it. It's a shame we don't see moments like those in the manga anymore.
It's a show that's basically a mixture of a load of different genres. It has slice of life, action, fantasy and adventure. It starts off being fairly action oriented, but then shifts to slice of life. When I first watched it, I found this shift very jarring, as the show has amazing action scenes and I wanted more of them. Re-watching and knowing what I'm in for, makes it easier to enjoy. I still think it has a few too many episodes and would prefer that Balsa(and Jiguro) got more screen time, but it's an enjoyable show all the same.
It's actually The Last Order. I botched the name there. I didn't actually hear about that until now, but I am interested. There's lots of other manga I need to read to, but I get lazy when it comes to manga.
I wasn't really sure where I go about responding to that blog comment, but I don't think you got it when I previously left it in my blog, so this is what I wrote
"Loads of people constantly abuse the word badass merely to define someone competent. If someone isn't a pussy, they must be a badass instead.
Indeed. Guts ticks all the necessary boxes on what a badass should be. The films fucked it up a bit, but the manga and the '97 anime did a great job with him. Especially the manga. I'd say the Lost Children arc showed him at his most badass. He took so much punishment but still struggled on anyway. I remember one extremely badass quote from him, to the over grown bugs that attacked him. I can't remember it exactly but it was about him not leaving and staying until he crushes everyone of them.
I like how there were times when Guts was scared too, like when he first encountered Zodd. It makes him feel more human, and all the more badass when he does overcome those fears. I could spend ages going on about all the ways in which he's badass.
Revy is the one most people associate as a badass, but I think Balalaika is a far better example. I'd say Balsa is the most badass female anime character though, even if she doesn't get into that many fights. I'm re-watching that show now, as I think I misjudged it on my first viewing.
Battle Angel Alita is a short manga, so it shouldn't take you long to finish. You don't need to waste your time with The New Order. It's a bloated mess. The original parent manga is a tightly plotted masterpiece, and the best sci fi manga I've read, which is saying a lot."

I agree on everything there. The dubstup music is definitely out of place. I haven't seen HxH, but I've heard it's a great adaption, and has animation that shames the art of the manga, which is rare. Madhouse are a great company overall, regardless. They have a great deal of range and diversity. It still puzzles me how they fucked up the Devil May Cry adaption though. I don't know what went wrong there.
What did you think of the first episode of Parasyte? I enjoyed it very much. Everyone seems to be blowing their load over the new Fate anime, which is very good too, but I'd say Parasyte has the potential to be anime of the year, if all goes well.
For a some time now GL Addicts has faded into the background of the MyAnimeList community. Many staff disappeared or went on hiatus and the club drifted away. But now in full force, the clubs creator, infactuation21, staff and members alike are trying to bring this hidden gem back to life. GL Addicts is one of the few clubs on MyAnimeList to have multiple card editions, polls, contest and more based around the magnificent genre of Shoujo ai/Yuri! So starting the 1st of September we will open up many new threads to bring back the club!

You should totally read Hoshi no Samidare by the way. It's one of my favorite manga/anime of all time. And while you're at it Akame ga Kill lol.
