Eh-heh. I don't know why I didn't like Cowboy Bebop, I can see why others would like it but I didn't find it particularly amazing. I really had to push myself to watch it, and I only kept watching it because it had such a high rating and I though the ending would be mind-blowing or something, but I was pretty disappointed. I guess the low rating was fueled by my high expectations :/ And I did watched it over the span of a few weeks, I can never marathon anime that I don't find very interesting.
Yes, thats true. I can certainly see why people will be dropping it if they didn't get the first few episodes, that's why I never do the 'wait for each episode a week' thing (I do that for manga though).
Yeah, it is rather convenient, but I was expecting at least one person to turn into a special vampire. It makes sense for the main character to take on that role, so he can be at par with the others. I'm really curious to how that will play out, since he plans to get rid of all of them, even though he is one himself...
I actually found the deaths quite interesting. It wouldn't be realistic nor quite have the same effect if it was all squished into 3 episodes (plus it wouldn't be able to give much background info). But yes, I admit I might be biased in my judgment since I marathoned all the episodes. I'll see how I fair waiting each week for the next episodes and see if I will change my review. But either way, even the greatest anime series would seem slow when watching one ep per week...I always watch my anime in chunks =)
I don't play Starcraft 2, only a bit of Starcraft 1 this year. Mainly because I don't have much time to learn how to play, even if my friends offer to teach me.
I think I phrased my last comment wrong about why I watched Elfen Lied- I heard great things about it and I checked the description on MAL and read it was 'Ecchi' and so I was a bit disappointed. But one day I heard more good things about it and just sucked up my 'fear of ecchi' so to speak. (I thought it was more like hentai)
But the only thing in the show is boobs. So.... I guess I was chicken for nothing :(
Well, how I was introduced to anime is sort of a funny story.
I was browsing Urban Dictionary and searched 'Anime' and the description was something like: "There are shoujo and shounen animes, shoujo for girls and shounen for boys...."
And so I thought shoujo would be for me.
Then I went on youtube and searched 'Shoujo Ep 1" (I clearly had no idea what anime was) and so the first video that cam up in my search was what is now my favorite anime series: Jigoku Shoujo Ep 1 Part 1
That's the story.
About Elfen Lied- well I've seen it all (lmao) so I don't really care. It has a great story, I didn't want to miss out on it. And I heard so much good stuff about it! I didn't really plan to watch it, but one day I was searching MAL and heard that the first 10 minutes of Elfen Lied was the goriest, bloodiest, ecchiest (that's not a word..) and , well, craziest 10 minutes in an anime.
So of course I had to check it out for myself. I wasn't really put off by it. I just recently watched the ep where Lucy's dog is being bludgeoned to death with a vase. Even though that wasn't easy to watch, I'm sure older viewers thought the same.
And with the father raping his daughter, and various scenarios.
I wasn't put off, that's strange. I decided not to watch the censored version because then I'd miss out on the great art!
Does everyone love the opening theme 'Lilium' by Kumiko Noma as much as I do?
Hisui's end was probably my 2nd favorite so far, my favorite being Arcueid's. I liked Kohaku's end since she deserved the good end the most after all of the shit she dealt with in her life.

Now it's on to F/S Night.
I'm playing the visual novel, so I'm taking my time on the anime
