I was exposed to anime early as a child in the US and South Korea.
When visiting Korea I loved watching Shin Chan and Shugo Chara.
Around 2012 I rewatched Shugo Chara and then went on to other
anime such as Elfen Lied, Chobits, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, Dance in the Vampire Bund,
Baka to Test, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Ponyo, The Secret World of Arrietty, and Squid Girl.
I was very on and off with anime after moving to a different state
(However I watched Your Lie in April, Inuyasha, and Vampire Knight during this time)
until the summer of 2018 where SAO sparked a bigger interest in anime again
I like watching any genre but I typically find myself steering towards either romance
or psychological stuff. Currently I'm trying to watch/read older titles because I really like the artstyle :)

Everyone has imperfections, with this I take away is how we act on them. Affecting the people around you whether it is negative or positive and the consequences. I'm grateful to have been influenced so heavily by Nana in this day and age. It has broadened my perspective on many things like friendships/normal relationships as well as many other lessons. How much we depend on people in our everyday lives is something you come to realize the bigger importance.
The characters in this series have raw emotions and personalities that are easily relatable and just as easy to be frustrated with. Understanding why each character makes certain actions is something that often in some cases is related to the realistic approaches of jealousy and greediness. I feel as though these types of emotions are rarely expressed in this specific way because generally in anime it's unrealistic (not necessarily a bad thing.) Though even I feel as if my selfish characteristics are being shown and what I'm able to do differently to grow from it.
Im grateful to Ai Yazawa and I hope one day she will come back to finish Nana.
