Still getting used to how MAL works. I neither find nor remember the majority of what I've come across throughout the years. I also wont bother to rate something that I skimmed through half a decade ago, 'til I rewatch such a series it will stay unrated and unmarked on my profile.
I seldom finish shows that I dislike. Thousands of artistically driven, all-around solid shows so I find it ridiculous to get stuck on the non-entertaining outliers. Hardly submit shows that I've watched halfway through, cause I forget and move on to the next. This is especially the case with 12-EP slice of life, considering I might watch 8 episodes in a row, forget to follow through the next day and go on with my life. Some of the shows in "watching" might stay on hiatus for weeks or even months at a time before I pick em up again. Even the ones set as "dropped" will most likely be finished within a year's span, just set as a last resort selection.
Favourites are my current top 5-10 depending on how set I am on a selection. For longer shows the one I've favorited represents the series as a whole, standalone movies I don't even take into consideration cause they just don't hold a candle to fully fledged-out franchises. My favourite anime & enterprise of all time is Evangelion, and my second favourite show (Re:Zero) was the one that initially roped me into anime as a medium. Third spot I can give to Steins;Gate, and as far as I'm concerned the rest of my list just follows suit according to my ratings.
As of February 2025 I have not read any manga or even opened a light novel or a webtoon not once in my life. Where I live the selection of manga is meagre and accessibility to it is limited. This happens to also be cause the majority of my free time is spent on consuming and discussing music or animated media, and aside the mandatory literature chosen from a tiny, localized selection in school I rarely read in the first place.
