Yes I'm a casual! With that said, my favorite genre is shonen and seinen. I prefer to watch anime with fast-paced entertaining action scenes and minimal dialogue. Categories I dislike are mystery, slice of life, mecha, ecchi & harem.
PLEASE let me know if you know of any anime that contains a similar level of entertainment and/or addictiveness as the following: Blood+, Haikyuu!, Yowamushi Pedal, HunterXHunter, and Naruto (NOT Shippuden). I love getting good recommendations so please feel free to share~ :P
I believe that characters make/break an anime. I love eccentric, unique characters with complex personalities and strong powers/capabilities. It doesn't matter whether the individual is "good" or "evil." FYI, my favorite anime character is Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter~ <3 Characters I hate (i will be adding to this list) are: Kururugi Suzaku from Code Geass. Dear God that self-righteous, wanna be knight in shining armor, immoral and ignorant prick just needs to be shot in the face...
My all-time favorite anime is Haikyuu! Not only is the anime highly entertaining but I really adore the cast. My crew would definitely include the baka duo Nishinoya and Tanaka.
I also love Haikyuu because of the inspirational moments. There's this really long but motivational quote from the last episode of the 2nd season which states: "
People who are naturally better than you have been different from you ever since they were born. It's impossible to turn that around no matter how hard you work, how well you strategize, or who your teammates are. You can complain about that only after you've actually done everything you possibly can. Rather than despairing because you're not a genius, believe that your strength is not limited to this and continue on the path straight ahead of you. Today might be the day to grasp the chance to let your talent bloom, or maybe tomorrow, the day after, or the next year. But if you think the chance will never come, it probably never will. Talent is something you MAKE BLOOM and instinct is something you POLISH!"

I liked ReLife because its one of the first i read so its basically Biased review!! LOLLL
Nagi no Asukara was beautiful to look at, I agree! But it got really, really boring in the second half...I am pretty sure I blanked out during most of it because my attention went to the ceiling.
I share your sadness for finishing an awesome series. I felt exactly like that after watching Haikyuu and a few others.
By the way, Haikyuu is amazing - I love everything you say about it in your profile :D! Yuu Nishinoya and Tanaka make me laugh so much I feel my head is about to blast off. It really is such an amazing and hilarious series! Can't wait for season 3! :D!!!!!!!!
Have you tried Shingeki no Kyojin? (Oh my god, it is so addicting, I love it!) Or Kekkai Sensen? That is a hilarious, really, random show! I love that so much too! Both I found to be addicting! What kind of genre do you like?
Your review for Nagi no Asukara was great! I laughed at the whole cooking/ eating/ other stuff part, because that was honestly what I was driving myself crazy with throughout the whole anime!
Anyway, nice to meet you :)
Yeah Nishinoya and Tanaka around Kiyoko is always hilarious.
YLIA is flawed, I wil be the first to agree. But it worked for me. I would recommend a watch just for the OST.
