Once you grow the fuck up you realize anime is mostly degenerate with zero creativity from show to show. After you've come to accept this reality, the only reason you'll watch any animations is because of nostalgia or because the artist/director is actually decent (like Makoto Shinkai's works).

If you started watching anime in your late teens/early 20's and you haven't grown out of binge-watching the same boring loli trash, boring "romance" copy/paste themes, and other garbage like "super OP character never loses because of the power of friendship," you never will.
