But I actually really love Perfect Blue! It's got a great concept behind it, and executes it so well! It's very surreal as far as anime movies go, and whilst I get that some people don't like it for this reason as well as it being confusing, I think it pulled off exactly what it was going for :)

And what's more baffling to me is the fanboyism which can't let any minor criticism slide and comes at you with a fully-loaded pistol if you show a negative opinion on their beloved show. I rolled my eyes when someone implied something like "Yes, the flaws are there but you must try to enjoy it nonetheless because it's moe and comedy!"
