You may be right about the simpsons. I'm not sure - I only caught random episodes on cable growing up.
Anyway, yeah the firefly movie is definitely worth watching. The show leaves so many loose ends. It explains who the reavers are and develops the character of simon's sister a little more. good movie.
I've heard about the endless eight, I'll have to check it out.
And no, I watch zero TV (don't even have cable TV). I have only seen firefly because my friend insisted that I see it, and I know about the show Castle because my brother told me they were the same character when he watched Firefly. I stick to anime and computer games mainly. I suppose I've seen some of The Office as well. The british version is pretty good too, if you haven't seen that.
You're going to watch The Simpsons from the start..? That's like a 500 episode undertaking...The art has changed drastically from the time it first aired.
Did I ever mention the show Firefly to you? If you are into Sci-fi it's a very very good watch. It's more of a sci-fi western, as a lot of the outer planets are pretty much stranded and end up being tribal/agricultural. The main characters just fly around the galaxy doing odd jobs - often illegal. It reminds me of a live action cowboy bebop. The show is carried by the lead Mal Reynolds who is played by the main character in the show Castle.
There is a movie with it as well called Serenity that ties up loose ends and explains some things.
It's another one of those shows that leaves you wondering how they could cancel such a good show. But short and sweet isn't always a bad thing.
It was my understanding that the 2nd season of Haruhi was a summary of the first. Is there some new content?
No I watched Mistsudomoe, but it turned out to be half funny/cute and half ecchi for pedos. Now I'm trying to get through ef - a tale of memories, because I want to see why it is deserving of a good rating. So far it's just slow paced, confusing and really pretty boring. I always watch anime before I go to bed, and I almost always finish the episode I'm on before falling asleep. But, with ef I just fall right to sleep. I suppose I did that with Aria too for a while till it grew on me, so we'll see. Other than that I watched the Haruhi movie which was pretty damn good. What TV shows are you watching?
Yeah, Trevor Adler or taadler123@hotmail.com is my e-mail. Friend me =)
I liked working. I wish it was longer. They built up all these relationships and there was no conclusion =( But, i enjoy that type of anime as well. It was funny.
Durarara! It is a bit odd indeed. It's almost like they had a few cool characters in mind and just threw them together and made up the story as they went along. its doesn't really form a cohesive story very well. and the conclusion doesn't wrap everything up. Regardless, it was a fun watch.
I'll check out the show you mentioned after I watch "working!!" It looked like a fun one.
Durarara! is pretty good so far. If you have seen Baccano, it has a similar style to that, set in modern Japan. I think they are made by the same people, because Isaac and Miria showed up at one point, as a joke. Other than that i saw Monster recently, which needs to have about 25 episodes at least cut out of it - it was pretty good aside from that. I've been moving at a pretty slow pace myself. Bakemonogatari is probably the best thing I've seen lately - that was a fun one.
After looking at your anime list it seems you have seen all of these though. Where do you go to find new anime? Do you just look at the new releases and watch them as they air?
