I'm a 16 year old melancholic Irish male who spends most of his days that aren't in school in his room watching anime or playing Video Games (btw my PSN/Steam is dazzsheil1 you should totally add me). I occasionally draw and I sometimes write, but writing isn't what I'd call a forte of mine, but I do enjoy it whenever I do try to write. My favourite anime are:
Steins;Gate - Lovable Characters, engaging plot and great presentation
Attack on Titan - Superb Plot, Great Soundtrack and some jaw dropping moments
Clannad - Emotionally engaging right from the get go, hits you right where it hurts when something bad happens.
Neon Genesis Evangelion - One of the best mech series around and one of the best casts in anime history to boot.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Filled with tension and drama throughout; a real thriller

I talk to friends at school, but somehow I still end up sitting around watching anime XD
But hey- I still haven't finished Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood or Death Note and I've been going at those ones for around a year now... that's like sloth pace =P
I'll probably watch it after I've finished all the stuff I'm watching right now....so like a week. XD
I seriously use all of my free time to watch anime... *has no life*
Also, how similar is it to Higurashi, since they're made by the same people?
My favorite female is a little harder to choose, but I'd have to say Ika Musume from Shinryaku! Ika Musume. Ika is just goofy and adorable, and doesn't fall prey to the curse of fanservice.

It's kind of like how you can never completely hate your parents. =P
I definitely have a pet peeve for tsunderes as well. Mostly though, I hate those characters that are all about justice and refuse to even listen to anyone else's opinion (see 90% of female sidekicks -_-)
I would enjoy burning Angel Sanctuary in the pits of hell. XD It's a random OVA series, but I swear to god they just pulled some random idea out of nowhere then dumped a bucket of ridiculousness on it. >.>

For me, when I think of a "perfect anime", I always think character and character development are the most important parts. What do you consider the "best" or "most important" part of an anime?

It was like that when Attack on Titan was airing too. Except I gave in around episode 17 instead because I kept seeing .gifs of the female titan and then someone spoiled its identity and I was like "oh, well no surprises for me then..." -_-
I've made it a policy of mine for the last week of an anime season to make Tumblr off limits because there are just soooo many spoilers! >.<
I'm loving Tokyo Ghoul right now. It's the exact type of anime (or any story for that matter) that I LOVE. The whole the-monster-is-the-protagonist theme is soooo well done. And I've skipped around chapters in the manga, so I know to some extent what's going to happen later, and I am ridiculously excited~ >.<
