Ainda assim, está entre os animes mais bem avaliados no MyAnimeList e possui uma popularidade significativa. Parece ser uma escolha certeira, pois tudo aponta para uma continuação promissora.
Dr. Stone: Science Future
Tudo indica que esta será a última temporada. Para quem acompanhou todas as anteriores, com seus altos e baixos, parece indispensável assistir para finalmente conhecer o desfecho da trama.
Sakamoto Days
Este anime conta a história de um ex-assassino que, agora aposentado, só quer curtir a família e tocar seu pequeno negócio. A trama promete uma mistura de ação e comédia, trazendo antigos rivais e parceiros que ainda perseguem o protagonista, apesar de ele não matar mais ninguém. As expectativas para a série são altas: antes mesmo de a primeira temporada estrear, uma segunda já foi anunciada. O sucesso do mangá, amplamente elogiado, e o grande número de pessoas que planejam acompanhar o anime reforçam o hype. No entanto, ao assistir ao trailer, a produção revela-se simples, o protagonista não demonstra grande carisma, e o anime transmite a sensação de ser uma obra underground que, curiosamente, vem sendo bastante aguardada.

Dizem que, um dia, haverá um anime para tudo, e talvez isso seja um reflexo de excesso de criatividade ou falta de ideias, como no caso deste, em que a protagonista é uma recepcionista de uma guilda de aventureiros. Mesmo assim, a premissa parece interessante, já que, para se livrar das pilhas de papelada, nossa heroína decide se tornar uma aventureira secreta. Infelizmente, a animação do trailer deixa a desejar, com o uso de 3D que parece destoar. Com uma animação melhor, poderia ser uma boa aposta, mas, com esses problemas, provavelmente ficará abaixo do aceitável.
Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation (TV)
A franquia Grisaia possui três arcos realmente excelentes, mas o restante do material apresenta, no máximo, alguns momentos acima da média. O maior problema, no entanto, é que a trama foi concluída na segunda temporada. Depois disso, ainda foram lançados dois filmes que receberam críticas negativas. Não vejo o que uma terceira temporada poderia acrescentar à história e, pessoalmente, acredito que será apenas fanservice barato.
Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai
Mais uma comédia romântica da temporada, embora esta pareça ter mais foco no romance do que na comédia. O mangá não é muito bem avaliado, o estúdio não tem obras de grande destaque, e o diretor também não possui um portfólio com grandes projetos. Nem o trailer escapa da mediocridade (no sentido de estar na média). Tem tudo para ser um dos animes mais medianos da temporada.

Reconheço que a primeira temporada teve seus problemas, mas, no geral, foi até bem positiva. Estou ansioso para conferir esta segunda temporada e espero que ela me surpreenda, corrigindo os erros e mantendo os acertos da temporada anterior.

A sinopse do anime promete uma fantasia épica em grande escala. Já pelo trailer, é possível perceber que a demografia alvo é voltada para o público adulto, dado o conteúdo extremamente violento, com cenas de sangue explícito. A animação, embora não impressione, parece ser suficientemente boa para não prejudicar a experiência. Meu maior receio é que, com o mangá recebendo uma avaliação mediana, a trama possa acabar sendo morna, somada a uma animação que não se destaca muito. No entanto, ainda pode se tornar um sucesso da temporada por ser uma das poucas opções focadas em ação, com um protagonista overpower e outros elementos de aventura que costumam atrair o público. Além disso, conta com um toque de ecchi, o que pode atrair ainda mais pessoas.

Mais uma comédia romântica da temporada, sinal de que a moda dos isekais parece estar cedendo espaço para os romances. Diferente de outras obras dessa lista, esta é um seinen, com personagens adultos e um ambiente de conflito situado no local de trabalho, o que pode ajudar na identificação do público-alvo. Embora tenha um diferencial em relação aos romances escolares, a proposta em si é bem comum. A sinopse também menciona que o protagonista nunca se apaixonou e está tentando entender o conceito de primeiro amor, o que indica a possibilidade de mais um romance na temporada. Sendo uma produção da Mappa, há uma expectativa de que, no mínimo, alcance um sucesso relativo e tenha uma qualidade aceitável. Além disso, em geral, obras que retratam a indústria de animes tendem a agradar os críticos.

Mais uma comédia romântica escolar na temporada, provavelmente com um trio romântico em jogo. Desta vez, a problemática foca na comunicação entre dialetos regionais japoneses, o que pode trazer um toque interessante à dinâmica. O diretor, apesar de bastante experiente na função e com boas obras no currículo, é o mesmo que comandou o controverso Berserk 3D. O estúdio, por sua vez, é relativamente pequeno, e o mangá não tem uma avaliação muito positiva.

Naturalmente, já tenho uma certa aversão por animes de esporte, especialmente quando apresentam um estilo meio "moe". O fato de a protagonista ser uma garotinha feia também limita a trama às competições e a alguns momentos fofos, sem espaço para expectativas de romance. Pelo menos, o mangá é bem avaliado, o que traz alguma esperança para a adaptação.

Isso acaba gerando um grande problema para a trama: a falta de uma motivação clara. Sem isso, a história pode se tornar desinteressante, já que não parece haver um grande conflito ou desafio que justifique o interesse em acompanhar a jornada.
NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashit
Mais uma comédia romântica da temporada, baseada em um mangá mal avaliado e adaptada por um estúdio pequeno. O "diferencial" da obra é focar em Otakus NEET e incluir alguns elementos sobrenaturais.
Nihon e Youkoso Elfo-san
Um isekai reverso em que uma elfa vem para o nosso mundo e tenta se adaptar à vida cotidiana de uma adolescente humana, enquanto divide cenas cômicas com o protagonista. O que espero desse anime são algumas cenas engraçadas, outras fofas, provavelmente um toque de romance, e muitas situações chatas do dia a dia. Sinceramente, não sei se vale a pena; provavelmente vai depender de quantas cenas enfadonhas teremos que suportar até as boas chegarem e de quão boas elas realmente serão.
Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan
A ideia de um anime otome game com uma vilã como protagonista me agrada, mas não com um velho japonês reencarnado no corpo de uma garota jovem e loira. Que tipo de fetiche é esse? Além disso, a sinopse menciona que a proposta é exaltar, através do protagonista, os valores de trabalho, o perfeccionismo e a moral familiar japonesa. Parece que a obra está mais preocupada em transmitir uma mensagem do que em oferecer uma narrativa realmente interessante.
S-Rank Monster no "Behemoth" dakedo, Neko to Machigawarete Elf Musume no Pet toshite Kurashitemasu
Anime sobre um gato adotado por uma elfa e um grupo de jovens aventureiras, que na verdade não é um gato, mas sim o monstro mais perigoso e poderoso deste mundo. Além disso, ele carrega a alma de um cavaleiro reencarnado. Até consigo entender a criatividade da proposta, mas falta motivação e identificação com os personagens.
Salaryman ga Isekai ni Ittara Shitennou ni Natta Hanashi
Mais um isekai em que o protagonista acaba trabalhando para o rei das trevas. O diferencial é que ele não possui poderes e conquista seus feitos apenas com as habilidades de um trabalhador comum da Terra. Provavelmente será um anime com pouca ação, focado mais em administração, com alguns momentos cômicos, já que se trata de uma comédia, e algumas pitadas de romance. A proposta é bastante genérica, e para completar, o mangá não tem uma boa avaliação.
Botsuraku Yotei no Kizoku dakedo, Hima Datta kara Mahou wo Kiwametemita
A principal problemática da obra é a dificuldade financeira da família nobre do protagonista. No entanto, isso nem parece ser tão relevante, já que a verdadeira proposta da obra é a de um jovem aprendendo a usar magia. Ou seja, a trama se resume a um longo e entediante arco de treinamento.
Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku

Anime sobre um doutor investigativo, o que me lembra bastante a série Dr. House. Não acredito que este anime consiga replicar o sucesso da série, pois nela há uma grande dedicação à pesquisa na produção do roteiro, com narrativas recheadas de reviravoltas bem orquestradas, grande verossimilhança e um humor sarcástico marcante.
Fuguushoku "Kanteishi" ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta
Um protagonista desvalorizado pelo seu poder é usado, abusado e, eventualmente, abandonado pelos seus companheiros aventureiros. Porém, após pensar em desistir, ele dá a volta por cima, forma um novo grupo e mostra que o seu poder desvalorizado, na verdade, é extremamente importante. Pela sinopse, percebe-se que a trama é um tanto genérica, e pelos gráficos apresentados no trailer, é possível notar os elementos mais comuns e desinteressantes próprios do gênero.

O anime segue a história de uma garota com o coração partido que encontra quatro garotos que se apaixonam por ela e a cortejam. Trata-se de um harém reverso escolar voltado para o público feminino. Embora, por uma questão demográfica, esse tipo de proposta geralmente não me atraia, o que mais me deixa cético é a avaliação negativa do mangá.
A-Rank Party wo Ridatsu shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyuu Shinbu wo Mezasu
Mais um anime de fantasia em que o herói, maltratado, explorado e ridicularizado pelos seus colegas de grupo, deixa o time e se junta a outro, onde seus verdadeiros talentos podem se manifestar e revelar o seu poder. A única diferença dessa trama é que o novo grupo do herói é formado exclusivamente por mulheres, que são suas ex-alunas. Além disso, os gráficos do trailer estavam bons, mas ainda assim eram bem genéricos. O que realmente me desagradou foi a música do trailer.

Adaptado de um jogo pouco conhecido, e ainda não há uma sinopse disponível para esta obra no MAL. No entanto, foi lançado o trailer sem legendas, e posso dizer que, visualmente, está aceitável e até bonito. No mais, não posso recomendar algo com tão poucas informações.

Mais uma comédia romântica da temporada, desta vez com uma pegada de conto de fadas ao estilo "princesinha da Disney". A protagonista é prometida em casamento a um príncipe desde a infância, mas rejeita a ideia de um casamento arranjado. A trama se desenvolve com o príncipe tentando conquistá-la, enquanto ela tenta resistir aos seus encantos. Não nego que a proposta tenha um forte apelo, especialmente para certos públicos, mas, para mim, que já vi tantas histórias com essa premissa, isso sozinho não é o suficiente.
BanG Dream! Ave Mujica
Mais um daqueles animes musicais com idols, um gênero que parece ter um forte apelo com o público japonês e aparece quase toda temporada. Este é o sétimo título da franquia BanG Dream, o que comprova sua resiliência. Acredito que a obra tenha alguma história de fundo, que pode até ser interessante, mas provavelmente não foge muito dos clichês do gênero. Afinal, o que realmente atrai o público nesse tipo de produção não é tanto a narrativa, mas sim a admiração pela cultura idol e pelas músicas japonesas. Além disso, não acredito que os produtores tenham um interesse genuíno em alcançar um sucesso mundial com essas obras, mas apenas em atender a um público específico que consome produtos relacionados.
Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru
O isekai do super sentai. Basicamente, a trama gira em torno de um Power Ranger vermelho que é invocado para o clássico mundo de fantasia do gênero isekai. Tenho que admitir que a proposta é criativa e, por ser tão inusitada, conseguiu arrancar alguns risos de mim. Sinceramente, eu gostaria de apostar mais nesse anime, mas o trailer revela uma animação mediana: bem acabada, mas sem alma, repleta de clichês e com aquele aspecto industrial. Para piorar, o mangá também não foge do mediano em suas avaliações.
Babanbabanban Vampire
É um boys love no qual um vampiro gay deseja provar o sangue de um jovem virgem de 18 anos. O conflito surge quando o vampiro descobre que o garoto que ele vinha "cultivando" atinge os 15 anos, entra na puberdade e se apaixona por uma garota da mesma classe. É claro que o vampiro não vai permitir que esse romance aconteça.
Sorairo Utility (TV)
Anime de esporte, focado em garotinhas japonesas praticando golfe. Confesso que já tenho uma certa antipatia por animes desse gênero, mas este me causa uma reação ainda mais negativa, pois não consigo enxergar muita verossimilhança em jovens meninas jogando um esporte tradicionalmente associado a homens ricos, velhos e americanos. Pelo menos, há um problema real a ser superado pelas protagonistas.
Hazure Skill "Kinomi Master": Skill no Mi (Tabetara Shinu) wo Mugen ni Taberareru You ni Natta Ken ni Tsuite
Antes de falar da trama propriamente dita, gostaria de fazer um comentário sobre como é comum encontrar personagens em animes com designs inspirados e muito similares aos de Kirito e Saber. Quanto à trama, há um subtexto que valoriza pessoas desvalorizadas pela sociedade moderna, especialmente no contexto dos agricultores. Claro que essa mensagem é emoldurada por uma narrativa que se passa em um mundo de fantasia, com o protagonista humilde e resignado adquirindo uma habilidade que o torna o mais poderoso do mundo. No entanto, esse conceito por si só não me parece suficientemente inovador ou atraente, e pode até se perder na tentativa excessiva de transmitir uma mensagem. Além disso, o que realmente me deixa com o pé atrás em relação à obra é o fato de o mangá ser bastante mal avaliado.
Momentary Lily
É um anime original, com elementos moe e de vida cotidiana, mas ambientado em um mundo pós-apocalíptico invadido por alienígenas mecânicos, contra os quais as protagonistas lutam usando uma ou mais armas poderosas. As garotas parecem ser as únicas sobreviventes, já que só conhecem umas às outras. O trailer mostra uma das garotas em combate com os inimigos, lembrando o estilo de "garotas mágicas". A impressão que tenho é que misturaram vários conceitos de outras obras e colocaram no liquidificador, o que pode até dar certo em alguns casos, mas também pode resultar em uma verdadeira "gororoba". Pessoalmente, não sou fã de alguns desses ingredientes, então não me arrisco. Além disso, o trailer utiliza muita computação gráfica, especialmente para transformar cenas reais em animações. Embora eu perceba uma beleza nos cenários e um cuidado na fluidez do cabelo das personagens, a combinação de elementos acaba parecendo artificial e não harmônica.
Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata
Outro Isekai, desta vez com um protagonista que reencarna em um mundo de fantasia onde não existe magia. O enredo gira em torno de sua frustração por viver em um mundo sem magia, levando-o a criar a própria magia. Preciso mesmo explicar por que esse enredo é um lixo?
Hotel Tasokare
O anime é baseado em um jogo e gira em torno dos mistérios envolvendo fenômenos sobrenaturais e um hotel isolado. Os primeiros segundos do trailer até chamaram minha atenção, especialmente pela ambientação do hotel no meio do nada e pela trilha sonora. No entanto, meu histórico com animes dessa proposta não é muito positivo. Alguns elementos típicos de animes de temporada não costumam se encaixar bem com o gênero e, geralmente, não conseguem me transmitir fortes emoções.
Mahoutsukai Precure!! Mirai Days
Esta é a segunda temporada de uma obra que começou em 2016 e, até hoje, mantém uma popularidade bastante baixa. Trata-se de um anime original sobre garotas mágicas, ou mais especificamente, bruxas mágicas, que lutam contra inimigos sobrenaturais. Pela sinopse, não parece haver muita profundidade ou um grande subtexto, então não espere algo como um Madoka Magica com cores vibrantes.
Around 40 Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan
Este é um anime Isekai em que um homem de 40 anos é transportado para outro mundo, onde sua jornada consiste em viver uma vida cotidiana por meio de compras pela internet. Sinceramente, não entendo o que passa pela cabeça de um autor que acredita que as pessoas queiram acompanhar histórias sobre o comum. Pelos mesmos motivos que não se fala constantemente sobre o cotidiano nas notícias, não deveria existir um anime de fantasia com elementos banais. O que as pessoas realmente querem ver é o incomum. Além disso, a trama carrega um subtexto depressivo, explorando a insatisfação de um homem de 40 anos, que, incapaz de encontrar realização no mundo real, precisa recorrer a um universo de fantasia para buscar uma vida tranquila.
UniteUp! Uni
Se existe um anime musical de idols com personagens femininas, é natural que também haja um anime de idols com personagens masculinos, visando agradar a uma demografia oposta. Se algo voltado para o meu público não desperta o meu interesse, muito menos algo que não é direcionado a ele.
Sousei no Aquarion: Myth of Emotions
Ainda não há muitas informações sobre este anime, já que se trata de uma obra original e a sinopse ainda não está disponível no MAL. No entanto, com base nas poucas informações e no trailer, parece ser um mecha em que crianças comandam robôs gigantes. Além disso, o estilo de animação mostrado no trailer se distancia do habitual, lembrando mais um estilo de cartum, como o de As Meninas Superpoderosas. O título, Myth of Emotions, também sugere uma possível conexão com algo como Divertida Mente, uma versão anime da ideia de explorar emoções.

Curiosamente, mantém uma produção considerável, apesar da falta de popularidade aparente.

Mais um retorno de uma franquia clássica, iniciada no final dos anos 80, com várias temporadas e muitos episódios durante os anos 90. Embora eu não tenha nada contra continuações, remakes ou reboots de obras antigas, percebo que propostas desse tipo não têm encontrado grande aceitação nos últimos tempos, resultando em pouco sucesso. Além disso, trata-se de um mecha com crianças como pilotos, e o design dos robôs segue um estilo desproporcional e cartunesco, o que provavelmente afasta parte do público.
Farmagia
Adaptação de um jogo de fantasia que, admito, não joguei. Pelo trailer e pela sinopse, a história parece girar em torno de um protagonista que administra uma fazenda em um mundo de fantasia, onde cria e alimenta monstros com o objetivo de formar novos companheiros ou até mesmo um exército poderoso. Resumindo, é um anime de agricultor e pecuarista em um cenário mágico. Sinceramente, parece bem chato.

Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo 2nd Season
Although the first season received many positive reviews, I didn’t watch it, and therefore, I don’t plan to follow the second. An anime with a protagonist who has 100 girlfriends seems to have too many characters to be truly engaging. Furthermore, some comments suggest that the series could have concluded satisfactorily in the first season, making me even more cautious about the continuation.
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon 2nd Season
The first episodes of the first season, inspired by the Cinderella tale, were excellent. However, at a certain point, the anime started to feel like it no longer had a good story to tell, ultimately losing its quality and narrative direction. My interest in the series decreased considerably during the second half of the season, leaving little motivation to watch the continuation.
Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun 2
I’m not a big fan of this genre, so I wasn’t interested in watching the first season, let alone the second. That said, I did watch the trailer, which seemed well-produced and might be a good indicator for those who enjoy this type of story.
Unnamed Memory Act.2
Reading the synopsis reveals the great potential of the plot, a point further supported by the positive reviews of the Light Novel. However, the first season was poorly received, with low ratings and modest popularity, possibly due to controversial changes in the adaptation that didn’t sit well with the audience. Since the first season premiered earlier this year, it’s likely that the second was already planned before its release. Personally, I didn’t watch the first season, which makes me even less inclined to follow the continuation. Moreover, the trailer wasn’t exciting.
Honey Lemon Soda
A school romance with a familiar premise: an introverted girl and a popular boy navigating bullying conflicts. There’s nothing new about the concept, but I hope the character development will at least be engaging. Visually, the art style is simple and average. Overall, it seems like a series that leans into victim narratives and slightly "woke" traits, without any truly striking elements to stand out.
Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta
A romantic comedy where two students get married and start living together. I like this premise, as it’s more interesting than the typical storylines we usually see in anime. Now, the series’ success will depend largely on the director’s creativity and comedic talent.
Ao no Exorcist: Yosuga-hen
Fifth season. I know there are fans of the series, but I gave up on it back in the first season.
Guild no Uketsukejou desu ga, Zangyou wa Iya nanode Boss wo Solo Toubatsu Shiyou to Omoimasu
They say there will one day be an anime for everything, and perhaps this reflects either an excess of creativity or a lack of ideas. This case features a protagonist who works as a receptionist at an adventurers’ guild. Still, the premise seems intriguing, as, to avoid piles of paperwork, our heroine decides to become a secret adventurer. Unfortunately, the trailer’s animation is underwhelming, with 3D visuals that feel out of place. With better animation, it could have been a promising series, but with these issues, it will likely fall below acceptable standards.
Grisaia: Phantom Trigger the Animation (TV)
The Grisaia franchise features three truly excellent arcs, but the rest of the material offers, at best, a few above-average moments. The biggest issue, however, is that the story was concluded in the second season. After that, two movies were released, both receiving negative reviews. I don’t see what a third season could add to the story and personally believe it will be nothing more than cheap fanservice.
Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai
Another romantic comedy this season, although this one seems to focus more on romance than comedy. The manga isn’t highly rated, the studio lacks standout works, and the director doesn’t have a portfolio of notable projects. Even the trailer fails to rise above mediocrity (in the sense of being average). It has all the makings of one of the most middle-of-the-road anime of the season.
Ishura 2nd Season
I acknowledge that the first season had its issues, but overall, it was quite positive. I’m looking forward to checking out the second season and hope it surprises me by correcting the mistakes while keeping the successes from the previous season.
Übel Blatt
The anime’s synopsis promises an epic fantasy on a grand scale. From the trailer, it’s clear that the target demographic is aimed at an adult audience, given the extremely violent content, with explicit blood scenes. The animation, though not impressive, seems good enough not to hinder the experience. My biggest concern is that, with the manga receiving mediocre ratings, the plot might end up being lukewarm, coupled with an animation that doesn’t stand out much. However, it still has the potential to become a seasonal hit as one of the few action-focused options, featuring an overpowered protagonist and other adventure elements that tend to attract the audience. Additionally, it includes a touch of ecchi, which could draw even more people in.
Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu
Another romantic comedy this season, signaling that the isekai trend seems to be making way for romances. Unlike other works on this list, this one is a seinen, with adult characters and a conflict set in a workplace environment, which could help with audience identification. Although it has a unique angle compared to school romances, the concept itself is fairly common. Perhaps what will truly set the series apart is the subtlety in the characters’ behavior, especially as they try to keep their romance a secret at work.
Zenshuu
An original work whose synopsis briefly describes a narrative about the anime industry itself, following the journey of a young man who becomes an animator and later a director. Interestingly, the trailer seems to have little in common with this description; perhaps to attract the audience, they chose to highlight action scenes set in a medieval world, possibly from an anime the protagonist is creating. The synopsis also mentions that the protagonist has never fallen in love and is trying to understand the concept of first love, suggesting the possibility of another romance this season. Being a production from MAPPA, there is an expectation that it will at least achieve relative success and maintain an acceptable level of quality. Additionally, works that depict the anime industry generally tend to please critics.
Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsurasugiru
Another school romantic comedy this season, likely featuring a love triangle. This time, the central issue focuses on communication between different Japanese regional dialects, which could add an interesting dynamic to the plot. The director, despite being quite experienced and having a solid portfolio, is the same one who helmed the controversial Berserk 3D. The studio, on the other hand, is relatively small, and the manga doesn’t have very positive ratings.
Medalist
Naturally, I already have a certain aversion to sports anime, especially when they feature a somewhat "moe" style. The fact that the protagonist is an unattractive girl also limits the plot to competitions and a few cute moments, leaving no room for romance expectations. At least the manga is highly rated, which gives some hope for the adaptation.
Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi?
The anime’s premise revolves around a hero who, after being accidentally summoned to another world, gains a special power to create practically anything due to this mistake. While this power is extremely appealing, the protagonist is only interested in living a peaceful and quiet life. This creates a major problem for the plot: the lack of a clear motivation. Without this, the story could become uninteresting, as there doesn’t seem to be any major conflict or challenge to justify following the journey.
NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashit
Another romantic comedy this season, based on a poorly rated manga and adapted by a small studio. The "unique point" of the work is its focus on NEET otakus and the inclusion of some supernatural elements.
Nihon e Youkoso Elfo-san
A reverse isekai where an elf comes to our world and tries to adapt to the daily life of a human teenager, sharing comedic moments with the protagonist. What I expect from this anime are some funny scenes, a few cute ones, probably a touch of romance, and many tedious everyday situations. Honestly, I’m not sure if it’s worth it; it will probably depend on how many dull moments we have to endure before the good ones arrive and how good those will actually be.
Akuyaku Reijou Tensei Ojisan
The idea of an otome game anime with a villain as the protagonist appeals to me, but not with a reincarnated old Japanese man in the body of a young blonde girl. What kind of fetish is this? Additionally, the synopsis mentions that the premise is to highlight values like hard work, perfectionism, and Japanese family morals through the protagonist. It seems like the work is more focused on delivering a message than offering a truly engaging narrative.
S-Rank Monster no "Behemoth" dakedo, Neko to Machigawarete Elf Musume no Pet toshite Kurashitemasu
An anime about a cat adopted by an elf and a group of young adventurers, who, in fact, is not a cat but the most dangerous and powerful monster in this world. Additionally, it carries the soul of a reincarnated knight. I can understand the creativity behind the premise, but it lacks motivation and character connection.
Salaryman ga Isekai ni Ittara Shitennou ni Natta Hanashi
Another isekai where the protagonist ends up working for the dark king. The difference is that he doesn’t have powers and achieves his feats using only the skills of an ordinary worker from Earth. It will likely be an anime with little action, more focused on administration, with some comedic moments since it’s a comedy, and a touch of romance. The premise is fairly generic, and to top it off, the manga has a poor rating.
Botsuraku Yotei no Kizoku dakedo, Hima Datta kara Mahou wo Kiwametemita
The main issue of the work is the financial difficulties of the protagonist’s noble family. However, this doesn’t seem to be very relevant, as the true premise of the work is about a young man learning to use magic. In other words, the plot boils down to a long and tedious training arc.
Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku
A school drama with a more mature tone, set on a small island with a reduced population, involving reading and radio broadcasts. As is common in dramas, the pace will be slower, with contemplative scenes and everyday situations, which not everyone appreciates, and even for those who enjoy it, it’s not something to consume all the time. Still, I feel it could be worth it, as it seems to offer reflective content of good quality, with emotional moments. Additionally, it doesn’t seem to be an exaggerated melodrama to the point of becoming cheesy.
Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte
An anime about an investigative doctor, which reminds me a lot of the series Dr. House. I don’t think this anime can replicate the success of the series, as Dr. House is marked by a great dedication to research in its scriptwriting, with narratives filled with well-orchestrated twists, high plausibility, and a sharp, sarcastic humor.
Fuguushoku "Kanteishi" ga Jitsu wa Saikyou Datta
A protagonist undervalued for his power is used, abused, and eventually abandoned by his fellow adventurers. However, after thinking of giving up, he bounces back, forms a new group, and shows that his undervalued power is actually extremely important. From the synopsis, it’s clear that the plot is somewhat generic, and from the graphics shown in the trailer, it’s possible to notice the more common and uninteresting elements typical of the genre.
Douse, Koishite Shimaunda
The anime follows the story of a girl with a broken heart who meets four boys who fall in love with her and court her. It’s a reverse harem school anime aimed at a female audience. Although, due to demographic reasons, this type of proposal usually doesn’t appeal to me, what makes me more skeptical is the negative rating of the manga.
A-Rank Party wo Ridatsu shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyuu Shinbu wo Mezasu
Another fantasy anime in which the hero, mistreated, exploited, and ridiculed by his fellow group members, leaves the team and joins another where his true talents can manifest, revealing his power. The only difference in this plot is that the hero’s new team is made up entirely of women, who are his former students. Additionally, the graphics in the trailer were good but still quite generic. What really bothered me was the music in the trailer.
Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku
Adapted from a little-known game, and there is no synopsis available for this work on MAL yet. However, the trailer was released without subtitles, and I can say that visually, it’s acceptable and even beautiful. Beyond that, I can’t recommend something with so little information.
Kisaki Kyouiku kara Nigetai Watashi
Another romantic comedy of the season, this time with a fairy tale twist in the "Disney princess" style. The protagonist has been promised in marriage to a prince since childhood, but rejects the idea of an arranged marriage. The plot develops with the prince trying to win her over, while she tries to resist his charms. I don’t deny that the premise has a strong appeal, especially for certain audiences, but for me, having seen so many stories with this premise, that alone isn’t enough.
BanG Dream! Ave Mujica
Another one of those musical anime with idols, a genre that seems to have a strong appeal with the Japanese audience and appears almost every season. This is the seventh title in the BanG Dream franchise, proving its resilience. I believe the work has some background story that could even be interesting, but it likely doesn't stray far from the clichés of the genre. After all, what really attracts the audience to this type of production isn’t so much the narrative, but the admiration for idol culture and Japanese music. Additionally, I don’t believe the producers have a genuine interest in achieving global success with these works, but rather in catering to a specific audience that consumes related products.
Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru
The isekai of Super Sentai. Essentially, the plot revolves around a Red Power Ranger who is summoned to the classic fantasy world of the isekai genre. I have to admit that the premise is creative, and its uniqueness got a few laughs out of me. Honestly, I would like to bet more on this anime, but the trailer reveals a mediocre animation: well-made but soulless, full of clichés, and with that industrial look. To make matters worse, the manga also doesn't stray from mediocrity in its reviews.
Babanbabanban Vampire
A boys' love where a gay vampire wants to taste the blood of an 18-year-old virgin boy. The conflict arises when the vampire discovers that the boy he had been "cultivating" turns 15, enters puberty, and falls in love with a girl from the same class. Of course, the vampire won’t let this romance happen.
Sorairo Utility (TV)
A sports anime focused on Japanese girls playing golf. I confess that I already have a certain aversion to anime of this genre, but this one causes an even more negative reaction because I can't see much believability in young girls playing a sport traditionally associated with rich, old, American men. At least there’s a real problem to be overcome by the protagonists.
Hazure Skill "Kinomi Master": Skill no Mi (Tabetara Shinu) wo Mugen ni Taberareru You ni Natta Ken ni Tsuite
Before talking about the plot itself, I would like to make a comment on how common it is to find characters in anime with designs inspired by and very similar to those of Kirito and Saber. As for the plot, there is a subtext that values people devalued by modern society, especially in the context of farmers. Of course, this message is framed by a narrative set in a fantasy world, where the humble and resigned protagonist acquires a skill that makes him the most powerful in the world. However, this concept alone does not seem innovative or appealing enough to me, and it might even get lost in an excessive attempt to convey a message. Furthermore, what really makes me hesitant about the work is the fact that the manga has a rather poor rating.
Momentary Lily
It’s an original anime, with moe and slice-of-life elements, but set in a post-apocalyptic world invaded by mechanical aliens, against which the protagonists fight using one or more powerful weapons. The girls seem to be the only survivors, as they only know each other. The trailer shows one of the girls fighting the enemies, reminding me of the "magical girls" style. My impression is that they mixed several concepts from other works and threw them in a blender, which could work in some cases, but could also result in a real "mash-up." Personally, I’m not a fan of some of these elements, so I won’t risk it. Additionally, the trailer uses a lot of CGI, especially to turn real scenes into animations. While I notice the beauty of the scenery and attention to the fluidity of the characters’ hair, the combination of elements ends up feeling artificial and disharmonic.
Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata
Another Isekai, this time with a protagonist who reincarnates in a fantasy world where there is no magic. The plot revolves around his frustration of living in a world without magic, which leads him to create his own magic. Do I really need to explain why this plot is trash?
Hotel Tasokare
The anime is based on a game and revolves around the mysteries involving supernatural phenomena and an isolated hotel. The first few seconds of the trailer caught my attention, especially because of the setting of the hotel in the middle of nowhere and the soundtrack. However, my history with anime of this kind isn’t very positive. Some typical seasonal anime elements don’t usually blend well with the genre and, in general, fail to evoke strong emotions in me.
Mahoutsukai Precure!! Mirai Days
This is the second season of a work that began in 2016 and has maintained a fairly low popularity ever since. It is an original anime about magical girls, or more specifically, magical witches, who fight against supernatural enemies. From the synopsis, there doesn’t seem to be much depth or a strong subtext, so don’t expect something like Madoka Magica with vibrant colors.
Around 40 Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan
This is an Isekai anime in which a 40-year-old man is transported to another world, where his journey consists of living an everyday life through online shopping. Honestly, I don’t understand what goes through an author’s mind when they believe people want to follow stories about the ordinary. For the same reasons we don’t constantly talk about the everyday in the news, there shouldn’t be a fantasy anime with banal elements. What people really want to see is the extraordinary. Additionally, the plot carries a depressive subtext, exploring the dissatisfaction of a 40-year-old man who, unable to find fulfillment in the real world, must resort to a fantasy universe to seek a peaceful life.
UniteUp! Uni
If there is a musical idol anime with female characters, it’s only natural that there would also be an idol anime with male characters, aiming to appeal to the opposite demographic. If something directed at my audience doesn’t spark my interest, then even less so will something that isn’t targeted at it.
Sousei no Aquarion: Myth of Emotions
There isn’t much information about this anime yet, as it’s an original work and the synopsis isn’t available on MAL. However, based on the limited details and the trailer, it seems to be a mecha anime where children control giant robots. Additionally, the animation style shown in the trailer deviates from the usual, resembling more of a cartoon style, like The Powerpuff Girls. The title, Myth of Emotions, also suggests a potential connection to something like Inside Out, an anime version of the idea of exploring emotions.
Kinnikuman: Kanpeki Chōjin Shiso-hen Season 2
I commented on this anime when the first season (the first season of the new episodes, as the original is from 1983) was released this year, and at the time, I wasn’t interested in watching it. That feeling still stands, especially regarding the continuation. However, it must be acknowledged that Kinnikuman is a classic and long-running franchise with a loyal and dedicated audience. It’s the type of work that, even though it doesn’t appeal to me, has the potential to attract new viewers and be quite successful with its target demographic.
Cardfight!! Vanguard: Divinez Deluxe-hen
The ninth season of a card anime that goes almost unnoticed by much of the audience but continues to receive new seasons, probably due to card sales or reasons related to television dynamics and Japanese regulations. Interestingly, it maintains a considerable production value despite its apparent lack of popularity.
Mashin Souzouden Wataru
Another return of a classic franchise, which began in the late 80s, with multiple seasons and many episodes throughout the 90s. Although I have nothing against continuations, remakes, or reboots of old works, I’ve noticed that such proposals haven’t been widely accepted in recent times, leading to little success. Additionally, it’s a mecha with children as pilots, and the robot designs follow a disproportionate and cartoonish style, which likely alienates part of the audience.
Farmagia
Adaptation of a fantasy game that, I admit, I haven’t played. Based on the trailer and synopsis, the story seems to revolve around a protagonist who manages a farm in a fantasy world, where they raise and feed monsters with the goal of forming new companions or even a powerful army. In short, it’s an anime about farming and ranching in a magical setting. Honestly, it seems pretty boring.
I also breezed through the first 50 eps since it was in dub I would multitask through them but since the rest of the series is in sub, I sit and watch but that's fine. Currently, I've been breezing passed Gintama slowly including the filler episodes even though I should skip them, but a lot of sub reddits have been recommending watching them so I've been so far plus its only 20 so ig there's no harm.
I understand binge-watching, I did the same with naruto a few years back and managed to finish the entire series + spin-offs + movies within 9 months. I took summer school for college so I haven't had much time to binge it.
Also quick question -- did you watch everything or only what the anime covered? I'm planning to skip the few odd Ova's and Speicaisl's + movies that are already covered in the episodes like the "Crimson sakura chapter" movie 1
