Note: Please watch the original series of Naruto and at least some episodes of Naruto Shippuuden to help you better understand my review.
Well, to tell the truth, it is more like a Sasuke Shippuuden than Naruto Shippuuden... as most of the story (EXcluding the fillers seasons) are centered around the story of Sasuke-Itachi and Sasuke-Naruto. Sasuke gets more action, spotlight and plot & character development compared to Naruto.
Sasuke has to endure learning the real painful truth about Itachi... all the while, he has come into contact with all the main villains of the show... name it... he was Orochimaru's student... then he created his
...
own dangerous shinobi team... and even formed a pact with the Akatsuki for evil purposes. The Sasuke now is not the Sasuke we used to know before... after being away from Naruto and the rest of Konoha for so long, he has become more powerful and perhaps slightly arrogant… Besides that, the Sharingan also features heavily in the Sasuke-Itachi story as you will learn more about the Mangekyou Sharingan and the story behind it, most of which is a new and fresh tale regarding the Uchiha clan, naturally involving Uchiha Itachi as well. Moreover, Sasuke’s battles in Shippuuden steals the show effortlessly as he begins to show his new terrifying powers … the Sasuke-Itachi battle is definitely a must-watch. It kept my heart pounding as they keep using genjutsu (illusion) techniques and the Sharingan. Just awesome, the battle was.
Naruto’s adventure, on the other hand, dulls in comparison. Forget about the fillers and stuff, Naruto is still the same old, same old… hoping for Sasuke’s return, talking about bonds and friendship. Of course, Sasuke-Naruto is one of the favourites and a touching story but it gets frustrating when every time they try to locate Sasuke, they always fail to find him… and when they did find him, things start to get emotional (with the flashbacks and all) but Sasuke always manage to beat them and escape again and again. Naturally, Naruto gets disappointed and trains to get stronger than Sasuke… By the way, the 9 tails demon fox is also featured as the epitome of Naruto’s power, along with a newer and stronger Rasengan.
To sum it up in a few sentences: (Main points)
Mostly, Konoha is in danger of being destroyed.
Sasuke is the latest bad guy in addition to the current cast of villains.
Good people (from Konoha) and bad people (from Akatsuki) die in battle.
The tale behind Mangekyou Sharingan.
Kakashi and Jiraiya’s past revealed.
Naruto’s friends’ growth (Hinata, Sakura, Rock Lee, Neji and others from Konoha's ninja teams have improved plenty. Gaara as well, he had his own story arc in the beginning episodes).
Sasuke’s own team… Hebi/Taka… dangerous ninjas hand-picked by Sasuke to form his own team for the purpose of revenge.
Myterious Akatsuki members.
All in all, Naruto Shippuuden is very enjoyable as all the characters we love are back in bigger, better ways, stronger and cooler-looking even... if not for the slow pacing and mountains of fillers, it definitely would have attracted all the old Naruto fans back.

I don't get why people hate Bleach. Seriously, Bleach has got to be one of the best anime around! I hope this review can give you a better view of Bleach and give it another chance. For those who whine and complain that Bleach is full of fillers, you are not wrong. However, you can easily skip these if you know which episodes are fillers and which are the real story.
The first arc, The Soul Society arc is arguably the most exciting. This arc is from episode 1-63. In this arc, Ichigo and his friends attempts to save Rukia, a shinigami who has once saved
...
Ichigo's family from danger and shared her (Shinigami) powers with Ichigo.
Here a lot of interesting characters are introduced from the Gotei 13 (The Thirteen Protection Squads). The Gotei 13 serves to protect the Soul Society. Each squad has a captain and vice-captain (lieutenant). Captains are highly superior and very much respected and admired by their subordinates for their strength and power. Ichigo and his pals are labelled ryoka (intruders) by the Soul Society. Regardless, they proceed fight after fight to save Rukia, battling powerful opponents, including some of the captains.
After the first arc, we enter the Bount arc, an anime-exclusive arc which has no relevance to the manga by Tite Kubo. Skip the Bount arc, trust me,and everything would be perfect:) This arc is from episode 64-109. As far as I'm concerned, this arc is filler stuff, so I skipped it.
Now, this Hueco Mundo arc or Arrancar arc, is where Bleach picks up its pace from where it left off at the Soul Society arc. One of the captains, Aizen betrayed Soul Society and retrieved the Hyogoku, a powerful item which he used to create an army of Arrancars (modified Hollows which have Shinigami powers).
This arc focuses mostly on Aizen and his Arrancars at a place called Hueco Mundo. The Arrancars are divided into several levels, the strongest one being the Espada. An Espada's strength is said to be equal or stronger than a captain's. Ichigo and the others are overwhelmed by the Espada's powers, which are stronger than anything they've fought before. After suffering heavy defeat, everyone trains desperately to improve themselves and prepare for the upcoming battle against the Arrancar. In the midst of everyone's training, Orihime (one of Ichigo's friend) is captured by Ulquoirra (an Espada) under Aizen's command, after Aizen realised Orihime's unique powers which might benefit him and his plan to overthrow Soul Society.
The Hueco Mundo/ Arrancar arc is from episode 110-167. Take note that they are several filler episodes here, from episode 128-135. These filler episodes are not connected to the original plot or storyline in any way, so it's best to be skipped.
If you have stuck with reading my review until here, I sincerely thank you. At the time of this review, I have watched Bleach until episode 167. Take note that episode 168-189 is also filler stuff.
In short, Bleach is just amazing. You can easily get so carried away by the story and fall in love with the characters. Bleach is a perfect blend of action and comedy with a hint of romance. The fight scenes are awesome and exciting to watch!
Lastly, I would like to give my praise to Tite Kubo, the person who created Bleach and to Noriyuki Abe, TV Tokyo, Dentsu and Studio Pierrot for producing the anime Bleach.

This anime is a bit old but it rivals (is as good as) any romance anime I've watched till now.
Miaka, main character- attractive, cute, honest, caring but annoying, is sucked into an ancient book and found herself in plenty of trouble. Well first, she falls in love with Tamahome. Somehow, Miaka is so hot that even the Emperor is in love with her LOL:) There are some love triangles going on, adding spice to the story.
The (Suzaku) warriors are slowly revealed in an interesting manner. Each has their own tale and attractive personalities. I would say my favourite is Tatsuki- because he adds a lot
...
of comedy besides looking soo hot. Also, he initially was rough and sort of a bad guy. Other than Tamahome, he seems to have actual character depth and development out the the 7 warriors.
For the Seiryu warriors, my favourite are the twins. The really livened up the story. As you know, Miaka's best friend, Yui became the priestess of Seiryu and so became enemies with Miaka. However, you'll have to watch the anime to find out why Yui went over to the dark side:) The real bad guy here is Nakago of course- he is smart and manipulative. However, you'll feel sorry for him when you learned of his tragic past.
Since this anime's setting is in ancient China, the surroundings and clothings will be of that. Think Chinese temples, emperors, etc. Each warrior also has a Chinese character on his forehead. Ironically, the villian Nakago's character represents 'heart' ,while the protagonist Tamahome's character means 'demon'.
The story is compelling as it is not the usual 'fight the bad guy, save the world type'. A very important part of the story (other than romance) is about friendship. It is really touching to know after all the bad things Yui did, Miaka still forgives her and retain their frienship.
Overall, the story is great and entertaining. There is a fair bit of fight scenes but violence is kept to a minimum. Lots of drama and suspense moments.
A word of caution: Miaka and Tamahome will proclaim their eternal love for each other multiple times throughout the anime. Translation: there will be a lot of kissing, hugging, etc. Most of the time it's sweet and cute though:)
