i didnt consider anyone to be villan in the story as well. hyouge mono does not pay any concern to morality that much in terms story and plot. it doesn't play that big of role i mean. that is one of the reasons why the story is more realistic than other stories in anime/manga stories. i like what u said about hyouge monom you should definitely join the hyouge mono discord server in my profile. we will have further discussion about the story with lots of hyouge mono fans. it will be fun. also the manga is being translated in regular bases. thank you again for your reply.
man i like rikyu! i have never liked a character after i disliked them for their eveil deeds. but this manga wasnt about morality of its characters, it was more about beauty and art and perspectives. tottaly amazing. i got started because a friend in discord recommended that i watch it. i fell in love with it.
I am trying to analyze Sasuke because i have never analaysed a character before. i know his goal is to be know all over japan and leave a mark history, to be the best aethsate. i am trying to figure out his inner struggles and his external struggles. i think his external struggle is for him to be a warrior or a an aethsate. that is the central struggle i think. he have inner struggles about avenging his lord or following hidyoushi. he cant get angry at hidyoushi because he understand him, right. but that is for some moment , it wasnt central. what do u think is his inner struggle? or maybe he doesn't have one?
haha that is totaly fine dude. i am happy that there are people who like the story of hyouge mono. since you have seen the show long time ago, if you are interested, we are doing a reread of the manga in the hyouge mono community. even if you dont want to do that you can always join us. i have seen the manga and the show side by side, and i have to say that the manga is better and more fun experience than the anime. the manga is also regularly translated month by month since 2016. the good thing is that the manga has finished a couple months ago. also there is a discord server.
Hello :)
I have noticed that you watched Hyouge Mono. sorry if this is out of nowhere, but i really like Hyouge Mono that i actually browsed people who have watched it. Do you mind if i have some discussion with you about the show? i thirst for people who like to discuss it. the thing is most people i know didnt watch it or dont like to discuss things. again i am sorry for coming out of no where, but i dont really know how to start a conversation.
You should watch some of the live action versions if you enjoyed the series as much as I did. They made one a few years ago in Japan which is the best yet. I might have liked it more than the anime, which I usually cant say.
"Strasznie" nie wiem jak mam to interpretować, ale nie zamierzam drążyć tematu. Chciało by się napisać, sezon przeziębieniowy w pełni. Oczywiście współczuje i życzę szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia.
That is the feeling I got from reading Animerica and various gaming magazines back then. X/1999 was huge! I don't know a whole lot about CLAMP's work, but the scale evident in the X/1999 film makes me see why they have the reputation that they do. I actually just got a copy of it in mail for cheap, and can appreciate it on a tv and not a low-res download.
I stopped watching anime for about seven or eight years and so much changed in that time. So many people don't really like any of the classics that I grew up with in love with and see anything made before the year 2000 (or later) as weird and outdated. It is also so strange how popular the genre is now, nobody had really heard of anything when I was a little kid in the 90's but I would gobble up anything that came within range.
Thank you very much for reading! I was blown away by the animation and attention to detail. I think that Rintaro's stuff will be re-evaluated someday by anime fans and seen for their brilliance.
It's great that you have your own opinion and I don't expect you to agree.
However, if you look at Magic Knight Rayearth II, Tsubasa, xxxHOLiC, Kobato to name a few, you get the feeling that they want to continue but they certainly don't want to run the wheels off their story, lest they lose interest in their own work much less the readers.
What I meant by a 'proper' ending was one that wraps up the loose ends and fulfills the series' main themes, message, and tone.
Personally, CLAMP's endings to their works(that I've read) are left on a satisfactory note but could have been concluded better. :)
