I considered giving "Magia Record" a higher score, but Ithink the 2011 version was better.

One big problem is english and japanese i.e. language barrier. Second, what can we do anyway to change that mentality, lol.

Yo! My parents don't like me watching anime especially due to the reason that I am not a good son which I admit. So I just don't watch usually. Even if I would be good even then a little resistance would've been there (but not that much as it's now).

Good to hear, buddy. I hope you enjoy it. Although, I never knew the show got picked up by Funimation, unless you're referring to the new Legend of the Galactic Heroes remake that recently came out... if so, that doesn't cover the entirety of the original series, as the remake only has about 15 episodes, whilst the original has over 100.

If you thought Versailles no Bara was sublime, be sure to give Legend of the Galactic Heroes a try, pal. They're quite similar, both featuring a highly mature cast of characters that is relatable to the eldern side of the Anime fanbase; who're tired of green-haired high-schoolers with zero personality.

If you're ever bored, try out the super short prequel movie titled My Conquest Is the Sea of Stars, which serves as a rough idea whether you'll like the remainder of the series or not.
