I do try to add a little bit of color to my language here and there. I feel like I owe it to the reader to make my wall of text at least a little more bearable. Informative or not, people are less likely to find something enjoyable if it doesn't have at least a little bit of personality in it. Plus, I enjoy writing that way, so when the opportunity arises I usually jump on it.

But anyways, thanks; I'm glad that you found it helpful, and I really appreciate that you took the time to drop me a comment.

Glad to hear you say that. Some folk are afraid to start things because they feel compelled to finish it. Kinda like new food. You don't know until you taste it . . . and you don't have to clean your plate.

Ever wonder who ate the first oyster . . . . . ? ;-)

Just noticed that you like Juuni Kokuki. Some of the political maneuverings and choices the leaders had to make in that one may help you with Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Doesn't matter that one is fantasy based on ancient China and the other classic "Space Opera*."

*Story with lots of characters and lots of drama, adventure, and action that involves space travel and other planets, often involving military conflict. StarWars and Battelstar Glactica are both classic space operas. They are also called "space operas" because actual physics is sometimes lacking and hard science can turn a bit soft

No bother at all.

LotGH certainly isn't everyone's cup of tea. It isn't all action, action, action and comedy. Some of it may well bore you but you did enjoy:
-Aoi Bungaku Series
-Gankutsuou
-Grave of the Fireflies
-Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin
-Ruroun Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen
-Saraiya Goyou (House of 5 leaves)
-Mouryou no Hako
-Berserk

all of which are quite sophisticated and thoughtful so you might do o.k. The key characters are pretty archetypal and quite engaging. You might get a bit lost or bored when the narrator goes into pseudo-history and back story but it doesn't take all that long to get back to the characters. You stand a good chance of enjoying it. The art might seem a little dated at first but it doesn't take long to get accustomed to it. Once you do, it is quite beautiful. It was, after all, top of the line in 1988 - 1997.

Think I'd start you on Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. Think you'd like the art, the characters and the romance. Don't worry about the giant robot things. They are just tanks and fighter jets. It's the people and their motivations that matter.

lol your comments were right on the mark. I watched three episodes of Hakuouki and dropped it for the very same reasons you detailed. The sexyness of the males wasn't enough to keep me viewing :/

I really, really, really am trying to watch Juuni Kokki because everyone says its awesome--but after two episodes I just don't see it. I'll pick it back up (again..) for your sake.

Thanks again for the advice!

Thanks for your answer in http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=330103

I am happy that you enjoyed reading my comments. At the same time also that you didn't get offended. Most of my opinions is deliberately written in a "fun" way. So don't take it too serious :)

no problem at all! :D
i know it's so hard when you see a character that looks interesting or if you see an anime picture/screenshot that sparks your interest and then you have no idea which anime it's from!

lol--i tried asking some people on yahoo answers once if they could help me figure out who a character was (it ended up being Kazehaya from KnD heh.) and i had to describe him. so black hair, watercolor-ey looking, smiley with a white t-shirt on. lol you can probably imagine how much that helped narrow it down :/

hey there! :D
you asked for the names of the guys on the bottom two rows of the shoujo/josei pictures, idk if you found them all out yet but here you go:

top left to bottom right (but you know the bottom right so i'll skip him)
1. Takizawa - Higashi no Eden
2. Kei - Special A
3. Tamaki - Ouran High School Host Club
4. Chiaki - Nodame Cantabile
5. Yuki - Fruits Basket

hopefully that helps!
they're all pretty great characters--so if you haven't watched all of the animes they're in, i'd 100% recommend them all :)
