Do you read manga too? 'cause if you do, I would suggest you check out both Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and xxxHolic, if you haven't yet. I love how CLAMP mixes the stories between these two <3
Spirited Away was one of my first anime. Well, let's say it's my first anime, even though at the time I did not know what it was xD My parents taped it for the kids, but I love it so much and kept watching it. They got me the DVD soon after as a present <3
Hahaha, I am also not that much into high school romance anime, though there are quite a lot of them.
I have quite a few supernatural anime I love (if you clink on the names, it should take you to the anime info page):
There are more, of course, but I don't know your tastes well yet so I just went with some safe ones ^~^ Well, maybe except for Mononoke: the animation style is different, and the story telling too. This anime is more like 4 stories/mysteries, and it is more focused on myths and philosophies. I still recommend you check it out if you're a bit into myths and philosophies ;)
Just curious, is there any type of anime you tend to prefer?
I tend to watch from many types of genre, but I usually tend to like more the slice-of-life, philosophical, and supernatural anime. Also, I tend to watch any anime that makes me think, like Steins;Gate and Kino no Tabi (hence where my username is from). Of course, I also like some of the crazy ones, like Kill la Kill xD
