My fav penpal, how's life treating you?
I was absent bc my graduation was this year and the whole process of applying to unis and what not has been though, but i got in somehow :)
Hope you are doing well and to hear back from you! Have a lovely day!
How're you doing?
Just finished my exams recently.
Watching anything interesting?
Yeah Ashita no Joe is quite old, it pioneered the whole sports genre and it was a mjor inspiration for one of my all time fav manga- Hajime no Ippo.
As for myself i recently got my first ever unsupervised trip with a classmate of mine. We went to the seaside to see the first rendition of a film festival- Martin Campbell the director of Casino Royale 2006 was also there , which was quite surprising since Bulgaria is a smol unknown country... It was very fun.
I also got to attend Dream Theater's concert a month ago and it was groundbreaking. If you dont know Dream Theater is a prog metal band and i would reccomend you listen to their album Train of Thought if you are interested in this genre of music.
How r u feeling? Anything special happening? Watching/reading smth new n interesting?
Hope you are fine
Sorry for the absence, art school students have it tougher here ;-; not enough time to breathe and do the stuff i usually would.
How are you? Anything new?
Hope you find a suitable stressless starter job that pays well!
How should i refer to you?
Reminds me of Innocent (by Sakamoto Shinichi) in the aspect of sexism, classicism and a powerful woman overcoming it altho the story is the exact opposite of light hearted.
Ani is good with me since 'Ana' sounds like i did smth wrong (Suzuya is just the last name of my fav character who's on my pfp)
Tokyo ghoul both the original and :re have a good hold on me.
It was my very first manga it made me analyze each and every chapter bc at the time my English was incredibly bad so much so I couldn't hold a short intoduction conversation but with no other source I was forced to read out of a dictionary write stuff down and on top of that I didn't know in what order I should read(right to left) and this made me reread it again and again until I got the gist of what's happening. I can tell you by heart what's happening in each chapter of both parts of the series. To this day i still believe that Sui Ishida's work has a great concept a good story and great characters.
As for recently(by that i mean today) i read Kokou no Hito and omfg I was left in shambles.
The manga is so good, heartwrenching and down to earth. It depicts the struggles of mountain climbing, life, death, socialization, love, loneliness, the ugly reality and the unhealthy coping mechanisms in an impactful and real way. Each and every character has an important role to fill, if one is missing the plot changes completely. Sakamoto Shinichi's godlike artwork and amazing abstract way of expressing the mental state through art without any need of text to back it up builds up an even stronger story that cannot be felt as strongly in text only format. All of this combined makes the manga great and ''Perfectly balanced, as all things should be''. I recommend it if you are into more serious manga
So what's Arte about?
There is nothing bad in being dissapointed in series as you build an opinion over what you want or not want!
For example: Chainsaw man ideawise is something right up my alley but I was incredibly dissapointed, on the other hand Hajime no Ippo (a boxing manga) was never something I though would enjoy!
So which title holds a place in your heart and why?
I also did check out your list and I can say it has quite interesting and different entries, I'm honestly surprised to see a list not involving the big titles we hear often these days. As I am a consumer of commercially successfull anime/manga more often than not, i wonder how did you get into the anime/manga rabbit hole?
Thank you for the fr!
What led you to my acc?
