I'll check out Love is War oh also i've been interested in Komi can't communicate for the longest time!!
I also love My Dress up Darling, and i don't know if it's considered romance but i really like To Heart! Oh, also i haven't seen the anime but i love the manga Say i love you. It's my favorite romance manga i had ever read.
But yeah!! how about you? or there any you would recommend?
Hi there! Thank you for accepting my friend request! Nice to meet you!
merry christmas!! wishing you a blessed day,
hope we can become good friends in 2024! ૮꒰ྀི∩´ ᵕ `∩꒱ྀིა
Yeah, it was a very sad story; especially because it tackled that sterotype a lot of people grow with that is a pleasure and a gift for middle and high schoolers to sleep with their female teachers just because they are beautiful, which were some comments Kaede heard from some of his teachers and sent him into spiraling after the incident.
About chapter 28? More like a message, it was a conversation that touched on several points. I´ll say it this way, it was a confrontation between black black-haired girl, who was Kaede´s girlfriend for some weeks I think, and a Blond girl, who used to be classmates with Kaede in middle school; the two of them are classmates and friends in high school.
The thing was that Black Haired girl, after hearing from Kaede how she was getting raped, realized she didn´t know a thing about sex and started to feel disgusted about it, and about Kaede, which led to her victim blaming him. She told Blond Girl who called her out for victim blame a rape victim just because he was male; the two argued for quite a while, and Blond Girl yelled, after hearing some comments from Black-haired girl -Is because of people like you, who blame rape victims, that people say girl deserves to get raped because of the way they are dressed- which really shocked because I wasn´t expecting the story to get so real.
The way girls are dressed is always an excuse to blame them for harassment or rape, and finally seeing someone addressing the issue made surprised me, in a good way, a lot.
Sorry for such a long paragraph. To sum up, Kaede has progressed quite a lot, especially after an unrequited crush.
Not so many years I think; I watched Gintama way after it initially aired.
Prepare yourself emotionally for when you start reading Land of the Lustrous; it requires a bit of a good state of mind hahaha.
Our Dreams at Dusk is such a powerful and beautiful manga; is one of the stories I really want to see getting animated. It felt so real and covered so many interesting stories. I feel it has the potential to be a good movie, although I would prefer an anime series hahaha.
Don´t worry, and sorry for taking some days to reply; it has been a very hectic month.
I hope you are doing fine as well; have a nice week :)
Aside from Houseki no Kuni and Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku, I am also currently reading the next two:
-Three Exorcism Siblings, follows the life of three brothers having to fight against some demons. Originally, only the eldest one fought, but after he suddenly turned into one, the youngest two also join in the battle. It´s kind of a mix of Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, and AoT; I am currently on chapter 12, and yesterday I saw the manga ends in chapter 60. Something I wasn´t aware of and that actually depressed me a bit.
-Sensitive Boy, which is the story of Kaede, a boy who was raped by his female teacher in middle school and developed a phobia towards women to the point he needed to change to an all-boys school. Kaede transferred alongside his two best friends who are also his support in moments he has breakdowns, and he also strives to feel normal again. I am honestly a bit on the fence with this one because something didn´t click while I was reading it, but the latest chapter, 28, delivered a very strong message that increased my interest a bit more.
I first watch Gintama back in 2019; there were a series of constant strikes during the first semester, and because I had more time spare I decided to watch it. I got hooked almost instantly. Later on, there were even more strikes and then COVID-19, and I was able to watch it without too many interventions.
My case was very similar, but instead of covering the manga was a series of scenes where the gems shattered sometimes by accident; I completely misjudged the story because there was a silly song in the background. I think so far there are only 40 colored chapters out of 102, but it is still a good way to start the series and differentiate the characters.
I hope you enjoy it when pick it up; have a nice weekend :)
I hope you enjoy it then when you read it; give me your opinion about it later on. I like when stories surpass the genre they are supposed to embody, and that is why I am very eager to start Bloom Into You. I am very close right now to catching up to Houseki no Kuni, and when I reach the current plot I will definitely pick Bloom Into You as I mentioned before.
Season 1 is an amazing anime by itself; the amount of craziness that happens there is unbelievable. One of my favorite episodes, which adapts a whole arc from the manga, is when Sadaharu starts growing way too much and those priestess sisters appear; that was peak comedy in my opinion hahaha.
I love the fluidity and constant good use of CG; the character's designs were spot on. The manga is a bit more simple, and I recommend you the same thing that was recommended to me, start reading the colored version first, since is easier to differentiate the characters that way.
Have a nice week :)
Don´t worry about it; we all have things to do, and it is nice you answer it on my birthday. Yes, I am doing fine now, I had a lumbago last week but everything is mostly fine at the moment. How have you been?
I get it; K-on and Bocchi the Rock share some of the same tropes, such as CGDCT type of characters and focus on music, but K-on is a bit more serious, I think. I enjoy slice-of-life stories a lot, some of my favorite series a SoL, and I even learn some of them are also Iyashikei which really surprised me. It was very helpful, thank you a lot; I am currently finishing Houseki no Kuni, and I have some other anime on my list I want to watch, but K-on is added to my priorities after Monster and Legends of the Galatic Heroes.
Umarekawattemo Mata, Watashi to Kekkon shitekuremasu ka is a heartbreaking and wholesome story at the same time; prepare for what is coming. Aside from the main couple, their relationship with the rest of the characters is also appealing and helps them grow as individuals. I still have to read the manga of Bloom into You, but as far as I know, is one of the greatest stories ever made; and also, aside from GL, it also touches on some other interesting LGBT topics. I am going to read Houseki no Kuni manga first to catch up to the newer chapters, but so far Bloom Into You is the second manga on my list.
In which of the many seasons are you currently in? I would love to rewatch the series someday when I had time; I didn´t have many expectations, but Gintama is one of the best shounen manga ever made. The cast of characters is awesome, and I love how even minor characters have a background and a story to tell.
Oh my god, Land of the Lustrous was something completely unexpected to me; at first, I thought it was going to be a comedy anime, and I was punched really hard with the philosophical and existential plots of the series. I have one episode left to watch while I have also read some manga chapters; so far I know that what is coming ahead in the manga is now a happy journey at all.
Once again, thank you for your birthday message :)
I already added Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou and Nagi no Asu Kara to watch them after the anime I have on standby. I have known about Nagi no Asu Kara for some years and maybe it is time to watch it. I read that Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou is quite the movie; I already have some pending movies, so I think I am going to have a day to watch all the movies I have in PTW.
I want to ask about this, would you recommend K-On!? This is one of those anime I have known since the day I started watching anime, but never gave it a chance because I did not think it was for me. Personally, I liked how varied the personalities of Kesoku Band members are; moreover, I have a soft spot for Hiroi, the drunk senpai, because she used to be like Bocchi and then drinking helped her to overcome it. So, I think she was trying to lead Bocchi on a different route by giving her bits of advice she maybe did not receive on her introverted days; moreover, I am also a bit more talkative and social when a bit drunk hahaha.
I have some mixed feelings towards the manga of Uramichi Oniisan; because while it has some amazing and real moments that one clearly can feel identity,
I hope you can finish Gintama someday, I know it is a very long anime so I understand how time-consuming it can be. The scene on Kimi ni Todoke that broke my heart was when nobody wanted to sit next to Sawako; I swear I hated her classmates so much during that episode for the way they were ostracizing her. They were way too old to fully believe she was cursed. And because of that episode, I have great respect for the ones who sat with her.
My favorite characters in the Romance genre? I never thought about them too much; but, I can say I also like Sawako a lot, Igarashi from 3D-Kanojo is also amazing, and Marin from Sono Bisque Doll. Couples I love a lot include Narumi and Hirotaka from Wotakoi, Kaoru and Toranosuke from Umarekawattemo Mata, Watashi to Kekkon shitekuremasu ka; I swear I recommend you that manga with my life, a true masterpiece.
I was looking up the romance anime I watched and realized I never added Oregairu. What about you? Who is your favorite character from romance aside from Sawako?
As I mentioned in my previous message, Sasaki to Miyano's romantic development is very wholesome and steady; I am also planning to read Bloom into You since I read is an amazing GL story.
I think I am going to add Kaguya-sama to PTW then; I have seen several scenes from different episodes of Kaguya-sama on Facebook and Instagram, so maybe the time to watch it is coming. I have never heard of say Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! before, I am going to read its synopsis to see if it calls my attention.
I have to say that my favorite casts in anime are the ones of Gintama, Haikyuu, Kono Oto Tomare, and Youkai Gakkou no Sensei Hajimemashita! All of the ones I mentioned before have a varied cast of characters that are loveable and enjoyable to see.
The atmosphere of that scene was way darker than I would have expected; I wonder how close Reg was to cutting Riko´s arm. I think this is one of the best Dark Fantasy stories ever, the final episodes of the second season were masterpieces. Faputa was not my favorite character, I even found her annoying, but when she ate the people from the village to keep fighting against the monsters, and that scene where she talked with Vueko was my favorite.
I am seriously interested in the manga, but the fact that chapters are released without a specific date is a bit discouraging; I can wait a month for newer chapters, but sporadic releases are very different. Moreover, Vueko was one of my favorite characters, and her death is still devastating; hence, I need to prepare because I know darker things are coming ahead, I am sure of that.
I am a bit interested in watching Kaguya; I remember when it first aired and how much of a hit it was, but I have a very long list of anime I want to watch, so I have to make some room for another big franchise. I never get tired of saying how perfect episode 1 of Oshi no Ko was; I wish it was an episode by itself, or an OVA because I seriously think it would have been the first perfect 10. After it, I have to say that Aqua ruins the anime a bit for me, I am not a fan of his attitude; although, he has some good moments and knows how to save the day.
What are your recommendations for the drama genre of anime? I just checked my list and saw how many drama anime I have watched hahaha. I forget about the genres sometimes because they are all mixed up; however, I have to say that one of my favorite anime in the drama genre has to be 3-Gatsu no Lion, I hope it receives a third season someday.
I have to say that I have a mix of favorites in the comedy genre; I liked Bocchi the Rock and Uramichi Oniisan for how relatable the main characters were. Yet, I think Gintama takes first place on my list; I enjoyed so much the anime, it has a perfect balance of comedy and action. I have to say that I enjoyed Urusei Yatsura more than expected too; it is one of those anime that does not have a plot, but it is still very funny if you like the type of humor it has.
In the category of romance, I think the first two romantic anime I watched were my favorites; and, they are Suki tte Ii na yo and Kimi and Kimi ni Todoke. In the case of the former, it did not portray the main group as a bunch of prude saints, they all knew their stuff, and for how real it was I think it is on my top 3; for the latter, the main lead is the most appealing character, alongside her two closest friends. I don´t know if you like BL, but Sasaki to Miyano is also a good anime with great romantic development.
What about you? Which is your favorite comedy anime?
