Just a note to say: BLOODY FLAMING GOD DAMN LICENSING BASTARDS AGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! TAKING ALL THE SITES DOWN! IF THEY WANNA DO THAT THEN WHY ARE THEY DROPPING SERIES LIKE SAIYUKI RELOAD (tokyopop) ON THE LAST BLOODY BOOK??! Its thanks to the kind and skilled scanlators and translators that we overseas can be as up to date as japan and not 4 damned years behind or more! I buy a lot of manga, too much and i just manage to pay for them while staying up to date on line cos they are VERY expensive! I just hope to god the sites spring up again, i just want to read and appreciate the mangaka's work! and i more than support the artists by buying as well, ANGRYYYYY!!!!!

elo motos! if anyone reads this, doubtful but hey :) i rather like anime and manga, shock horror erm..anything really, look at my list (not finished) i also love music, and drawing-but not still life all music in any style. sigur ros atm, also daft punk and pendulam, gorillaz, samurai champloo soundtrack, hot chip, johnny cash, cinematic orchestra, bloc party, system of a down, so you can see everything :P,

also, my favourite mangakas are, in no particular order, hakase mizuki(The Demon Ororon), kazuya minekura(Saiyuki), mitsukaza mihara(The Embalmer), kaori ozak i(Immortal Rain) and nihei tsutomu (BLAME!) happy ones are good too though lol eiichiro oda o course and tezuka obviously :p

yeah;) good taste in anime too! hahah actually i watch alot more than i read so if you have any recommendations in that area let me know;)

profile pic's from living stone, which i have only read one chapter so far really. it looks pretty intriguing, but god knows if more chapters are going to be released lol.
I loved embalmer (it's on my favs for a reason;)) - and actually i read most of that in chinese too. I found it to be a very emotional piece with great art. i think it's out in life action j-drama just fyi, but i havent seen any of that so can't say much. I'd also recommend solanin for a great read (used to be on onemanga, but i guess you can still find it on fox now).
btw i took a peek at your profile and noticed you like oronron? i totally loved it as well;) cheers to good manga! x
I'm really excited to get my hands on it, so I already put the 2 first volumes in the amazon basket, so when I get to the time, of making the monthly order, in something like a week, I order them.
Also, one of the reason of me being so sudden to buy this is that this series is becoming out of print very easily. Currently, the first four volumes are out in French, the last one came out last week, and amazon is already lacking of the first two volumes, so I have to buy from private sellers. I don't really want this series to disappear before I get a hand on it, so I decide I'll order the first two right away (and probably next month another volume).
As most people I started to read the mainstream manga, and then I discovered the more alternative scene. I read both styles, but slowly I became tired of reading from the laptop, and as I just read mainstream manga online, while alternative comics I bought them, I quit reading mainstream. Also perhaps due to the fact that in comparison to the more alternative manga, mainstream is terrible flat, and most of the times repetitive.
I'm not familiar with mizuki hakase, but The embalmer is something I have on my plan to buy list for a long time, problem is, that iirc it was put in hiatus by tokyopop.
My favorite Underground manga, is red colored elegy, still I think it's not suited to everyone. Disappearance Diary, on the other half, is an alternative manga, that I believe is suited to everyone. You should try that out, if you happen to find a scanlation of it.

Am a big fan of alternative manga, so this I'll definitely enjoy.
I noticed you enjoyed Takemitsu Zamurai. I'm planning (or not) to buy it. Could you please tell me, why did you enjoy it?
