Thanks. Yeah, it irks me when I see comments that flat-out disregard the artistic vision of the director just because it doesn't completely line up with the source material. Nagahama is one of the few anime directors that I would call a visionary, and the medium could really use more directors like him.

Sorry it took awhile to reply (the banning bug got me).

I was more annoyed that the show presented another opportunity to demonstrate it's so-called "girl power" message, and after the outer senshi from season 3 it was just disappointing. Yet another guy has to be the key to giving Usagi power, while another one has to tell her when to unleash it. There's nothing for her to do aside from make jokes beforehand and look pretty when executing it. It just rubs me the wrong way is all.

I also think that every season had its moments where Tux was gone from certain battles, and the scouts had to fend for themselves which resulted in them actually kicking ass and growing as characters. But a lot of that growth ended up being lost in the episode right after it. I don't remember if the ratio in Super S was significantly different, but it's been awhile so I'll just take your word for it.

but as a fan of the manga i think it was a discussing adaptation they used the same backgrounds constantly, and made the characters look gross.

because they did it this way people are put off and will never read the manga (that's what i am most mad about) and the amazing manga wont get the full story adapted because so many people think it looks bad if they just made it normal looking it would be huge and be on the second season by now.

if they wanted to make it with real people y not make a live action movie?

it is the biggest let down i have seen in anime to date.

Ohh. Now I remember, I think I was joking and I think I made that comment went Mushishi new anime was announced on here probably that or I was drunk. I hope it's the latter.

Yeah I suppose that's a reason for it, also the PVs and teasers set my expectations a bit high because of how well they made me anticipate the show and bring on this sort of atmosphere to it. The ending song for is really great. The art style for it really didn't do the characters any justice either.
I contemplated on whether or not I should finish it since a few of my friends enjoyed it, but I ended up not wanting since I got into giant robot cartoons.

To answer your question, I did not finish it since I didn't like it an adaptation at all, I thought the pacing was just so off that each episode that I watched didn't really cover anything, and the rotoscoping just did not sit well with me because it felt so cheap and poorly done to me.
It's fine, but 4am + sleeping pills=even more awake?
