Announcement
Because I'm tired of wading through the muck and mire to find a hidden diamond, and because of life’s priorities and a certain dream of mine, I will be taking a long break from anime. Hopefully by the time I return, it will be an era without bouncing breasts, generic shounen junk, mindless moe, recycled ideas and fanservice. Till then, adieu animu, and keep this holy kiss.

edit; i freaking love your anime list layout btw
About Psycho Pass
... hard. I know. but i placed that comment arround episode 7. So i´m considering make it a 9... but i can´t think why not a 10... but is definetly not a 10... yet.
Still, so far i LOVE Akane, and i'm even considering place her on my favs. But still... there something about her that makes me frown every time she apears.
In Chu2, the change fro comedy/romance to drama/romance was soemthing really unespected, at first, the series was filled with GIF material, now, it makes you nod at (almost) every single apreciation the made about grow up. (at least for me since i had to struggle for the "chu2")
thanks for the comment on my list. I think you deserve answers on some of your points, so here it is:
Texhnolyze... I have somehow different idea of a deep anime, but it's still a very good show that is worth the watch. It has a similar vibe as Ergo Proxy, which was more enjoyable for me though.
Regarding Baccano - no I haven't, but I might someday. I have some kind of problem with both Baccano and Durara, I just don't like the way of storytelling. Both are technically very good anime, but the inconsistency and chaos and lacking focus on one character doesn't appeal to me, although that is probably one of the main reasons why people like it so much.
But I really liked the Baccano specials. I even considered giving it higher score but I thought it would feel weird so I left it like that.
As for anime like AnoHana, for me it really depends in what kind of mood I watch it. I'm pretty schizophrenic at times, it would make me cry one day and laugh the second day. My rating might not be that objective, but I felt that the drama and tears were way too forced. The ending particularly consisted of the group crying and screaming the dead girl's name, even though she was annoying as hell (okay, that may sound really cynical, of the dead, speak no evil, was it?). I couldn't really relate to any of the characters as I didn't understand their actions at all. The problem of the anime is also that it's pretty short, so there is no real space for character developement. I might watch the movie though, it might surprise me.
• Yes Nodame Cantabile is silly, you have to admit the characters do some ridiculous stuff. But I do like it because I love classical music, it's the sort of show I can just sit back and enjoy. In that sense, it does a much better job than Aria, whose silly characters I can't get past.
• I hate everything about Steins;Gate past episode 12. It throws away a great premise for cheap, forced melodrama that requires it to actively destroy all sense and logic. It annoys me to no end that no one else seems to care about the underhanded methods used to create this worthless drama. I can only pray that the same thing does not happen to Robotics;Notes, which I'm really enjoying so far.
• I don't even have Yu Yu Hakusho on my list, why did you copy my comment into your comments?
Anyway, yeah, I'm not too big on shounen. But I do give a few a chance.
I can't say I am really dying to watch any of the "big 3", but I do hear almost consistently good things about One Piece (from people who have given it a chance). I guess, for me, the length is a bit intimidating.
Who knows? I could try it some day.
I enjoyed the fishman arc so far, but yes, it's nowhere as good as alabasta, water 7 and enies lobby arc. I didn't really think about it, but when I do, I do not hate Hordy that much. Yes, he is a bad man, and he has to be taken down by Luffy and crew, but outside that, I don't have so many things to say about him. It will be fun though:)
And no, I have not read the manga. I should;^^
aoi bungaku and shigofumi are my current favorite episodic series, they are dark, pshyological animes a bit similar to jigoku shoujo, im quite positive that you may like one of them.
y i watched a YT vid that was about them running out of toilet paper it was pretty hilarious, ill give Gintama another try.
I enjoyed Level E mostly becouse the mainlead is such a troll :P,
"i dont like series that doesn't have a proper story line"
do you also dislike episodic series like the Aoi Bungaku Series and Shigofumi?
and i noticed that you started watching Gintama, does it get better after the first few episodes?
Im also a "marathon type", i once had a free afternoon and i read 200 chapters from a single manga.
"sanctuary and monster" y ill check them out.
