Hello. I'm just another person who is into anime and manga. I personally like anime and manga with good stories, plots, and strong character development. I love it more if they feature strong female characters. Good action content is nice as well, but not necessary. Currently and surprisingly interested into the fluffy world of Yuri OL manga.
If you just checked my profile and lists, then I would love to hear some recommendations! Please do leave some comments below. I'm open to hear or read them! :)

I'm not too often read manga like you
you will be like this
that why your recommendation is really big help
i will be waiting for your next recommendation
I always looking for manga/anime with yuri married couple
Although I suppose in most cases the previous titles had other underlying themes that I was drawn to as well. I like the melancholy and mysticism.
The frog is from another lovely, this time french, animation "Day of the Crows". I thought it would make for a funny profile pic.
Well, I'm glad you enjoyed them. Marnie had a Blu Ray release last month. BRRips should be all over the net by now, if the Disc version is too expensive where you live. I hope you get to see it soon.
I do like series with a main female cast though. I feel like you get better emotional development with them, compared to male driven series, where all they're concerned about is getting stronger. Hence the reason I prefer anime/manga in the josei demographic.
I was slightly surprised someone would do a review for an unknown manga such as that. ~
Shachiko is among my faves as well.
I'm not a fan of Yuri/shoujo ai, but the one or two I have seen/read, were pretty good.
Sure thing. I hope you enjoy them. You'll probably like Michiko to Hatchin. It can be a bit silly or bizarre at times, but it should have the portion of action you are looking for.
If you don't have it on your radar already, the most recent Ghibli, Omoide no Marnie, is great as well.
Two more titles with relatively strong female characters and/or character development are Momo e no Tegami and Fuse: Teppou Musume. The latter has it's fair share of action, too.
If you don't mind the CG and source material, the latest project from Goro Miyazaki just finished airing. Sanzoku no Musume Ronja. It certainly has the Ghibli qualities. Although not perfect, it's a nice watch nonetheless.
That's everything I can think of that fits the themes you like. It should keep you busy for a while ;)
I'm off to look up some of the Manga I found on your list.
just stumbled upon your profile and lists and discovered a few great titles I didn't know yet. Since you don't seem to mind recommendations, here are some quick ones on my part.
As for strong female characters:
Ie Naki Ko Remi
Michiko to Hatchin
Planetes
Those can be hit and miss for some as far as the setting and story goes. Solely based on personal preference. But I found they generally don't have real massive flaws that could ruin anything. They're all pretty good at Action, Drama and Slice of Life.
"Junkers Come Here" and "Mai Mai Miracle" are probably two of the most well crafted subsitutes for the Studio Ghibli "wonder". Really lovely films. Also with strong female leads, if you will.
