Happy Holidays!
I really enjoy talking with you. You're such a nice and fun person, and I wish you all the best, with your webcomic, your novel (which is wonderful-I love the world you built), everything. Enjoy the festive season!
maybe it's funded and/or created so more young people will grow interest in the game? if the anime is good with a good depiction of the game, surely some kids started playing go because of it. fiction affects reality a lot, actually. yeah, I was talking about that duo. I really don't like them.
I loved httyd, it was so cute and fun. never watched the tv series, tho.
Ah, cool, I'll keep that in mind, then! And is it always two extras between a main storyline ch? I read the new one, it's so cute :-)
Haha, I had an essay and a math due today, and an art project due Monday. I've still got so much left to do but I really hope it doesn't turn into an all-nighter! I'm already so sleep deprived... Yeah, I'm pretty self-conscious though, so I'm always too nervous to openly share my work online even though I know it'd be helpful. But I feel like it'd motivate me to practice my writing and drawing more so I'm probably going to muster the guts to join a sharing site someday. It's never too late to start. Best of luck building your online presence!
It's peaceful. Sometimes I feel like there may not be enough "action" for how slow the plot is moving forward (for example, a chapter is them visiting the library to ask for the space to hold a bake sale to build a playground-you can see how long that "playground" arc is haha), but I feel like that also makes it fit more into the intended slice-of-life genre so it works out. And I guess it just feels peaceful writing it, too, sometimes.
I'm surprised there's a shounen anime for go actually. go is seen as a game for elder people in japan nowadays, young koreans are more interested in the game and they have been the most successful ones at the game for years. oh, the person I was talking about was not named "jesuotaku". I forgot her name :/ her boyfriend was also a famous anime youtuber, I guess. I don't like him, too :P
you can use it for voice chat or you can have typing chats, up to you :D I never used it for a voice chat.
how to train your dragon is great :3
yey, reading the new chapter now :3
oh, I will watch it then. it has a high score, too. and sai looks cool :P
yeah, now you say it I realize there are not many female anime analyzers. there was one famous female anime youtuber out there but her videos were pretty cringy and annoying :D
discord is an app mostly used by gamers to voice chat when gaming but you can just use it to chat normally with people you meet on internet. there are servers and stuff to join, too. it's good :)
Yeah, I think the extras are going to be especially nice as the story gets more dramatic. Just curious, do you have an update schedule or are you uploading as you go?
Eh, I don't think I'm gonna make 50k. Things are getting busier at the end of the semester draws closer. But it was fun writing as much as I can, anyway, and meeting some of the community. It's not like I can't keep writing my story after November :-)
and yeah, it may be hard to find a job to enjoy and earn well at the same time but once you get popular at what you do, you'll have both fame and money with a great job in which you can be creative!
ahh, they are such cuties :3 but I guess this means something will happen to ken, too. aww :(
yeah, I heard about hikaru no go but haven't watched it. I will watch it someday. I used to get bored playing chess but I can play go for hours. my drawings are NOWHERE near yours, I doubt I'd be a good art friend for you :P I just love drawing. youtube videos? great! will you review anything story related in general or are you planning to focus on certain things (like just anime)?
yeah, he's so cute :3
patience and hard work are two things I could not have, hehe. unless I am ambitious about something with some kind of competition going on, I am so lazy. I am amazed at people who can have schedules. it's great how you can work on your comic every day :O
I love drawing, playing go, watching movies (especially horror and sci-fi), reading books and comics and sports. what about your hobbies?
btw, do you use anything for chatting like discord?
Yeah, I guess I'm a sucker for that comedy+heartwarming combo. And a friend taking action for another friend, without having asked for it. Idk why it has the least amount of hearts, lol... maybe because it's the least plot relevant, I dunno, but I like it! The extras are short and sweet glimpses of life; I think they resonate simply because they're self contained. I'm sure once we get to know more of the main story that'll become the main attraction.
Yeah, it's definitely better that readers found out at the same time. It just wouldn't be the same if we saw Ken go to the janitor; there'd be no high point! I guess I'm a sucker for sweet little surprises too, haha.
Oh, and sorry about my slow reply, I was preparing for and celebrating Thanksgiving.
yeah, I love how you can easily share your works with the whole world nowadays on platforms like webtoon, book etc. publishing websites and youtube. many people can get famous by sharing their comics, books, music and short films online!
hehe, I love your characters as well~ especially France, he's so precious :3 yeah, I can imagine how hard creating a webtoon can be. you should have an interesting story to tell and you should be able to draw it, too! and don't forget the patience and the hard work needed. creating webtoon series is quite impressive. don't worry, I'm pretty sure your comic will be well-known someday! :3
happy tuesday looks so good :O I will definitely check it out whenever I have the time this week, I also loved the design of the blog and the effort you put in the project.
ren-u seems so cool, too! I loved the plot, hope you can make it an another weekly series in the future.
nowadays I'm so busy with many stuff to take care of but in a few days, I will most definitely check out all your works and give you a proper feedback :)
woah, mnfc as first weekly comic? you are so talented :O where can I see your older works?
your art style is so cute and unique btw. is this your first comic?
Keep trying and revising and I'm sure an agent or publisher will notice you. I have faith!
Also, I read ch2. It's so sweet! The brother seems like an interesting character, too. But I think so far the locker extra was the most heartwarming :-)
And for all it's worth, I still think your webcomic could be well-suited for page-by-page.
Yeah, that's true, but I feel like it'd be a good thing for me to get disciplined into writing every day. Otherwise, I'd procrastinate until the end of the world.
Hm, thanks for the suggestion! The security guard in charge so far has really only played the stereotypical senpai role, giving advice once in a while. He does have his own arc, but it's just one arc out of many, just as big as the other character arcs. Now that you say so, I'll definitely think about giving him a more central role, since I have noticed that in most of my favorite arc-based anime there often is a central relationship. The episodic characters do stay pretty heavily in the story, though, my arcs for them are usually split up, for example, early on we may learn a character's backstory, but only several arcs later and helping other characters do we help that character. And then those other characters helped join the "team," etc.
That sounds like a cool, imaginative story. Reminds me of Princess Mononoke <3. I love how you're going to continue the story over multiple books. I think the story is very exciting and I wish you the best of luck! Let me know if you can get it published so I can buy a copy :-). It'd be cool to go to a bookstore and know the person who wrote the book.
As a reader, I don't really mind either way. I read webcomics that update page-by-page and webcomics that update chapter-by-chapter. Maybe I even read the page-by-page ones more often since it's so consistent it becomes a habit. And LINE seems to like people that publish more often, so it might be worth a test run; it's never too late to go back if it doesn't work out for you.
Since National Novel Writing Month is all about quantity and not quality, I chose one of my less exciting ideas, tbh. It's about a guy who loses his job because he doesn't really go the extra mile and isn't really passionate about his work. But his mother is sick so he rushes to find another job, which is a security guard in a housing complex in the suburbs where every house looks the same. Like a slice of life, meets different people and helps them, finding passion in his work. I chose it because it's easy to extend (with some ideas every chapter is fixed and it's hard to make it longer... I didn't want to end shorter than the required length). There is an overarching story line, though. The owner of the complex is extremely nice so hasn't raised the rent for decades, choosing to cover the costs with another company she invests in. But when that company goes down different people buy parts of the complex and want to divide it. The community does all they can trying to stop it.
What's your story about?
