I watch Anime because I have nothing better to do with my life and I get an odd sense of satisfaction when I complete things. I don't have a preference in any genre of anime, so I'm open to any and every series.
Knowing this I can enjoy any kind of anime, Even if it's considered bad, I might still love it.
Here's my ranking system regardless:
0/10: I will probably never give this rating due to it being near impossible in my eyes. An anime literally has to not exist to get this number.
1/10: A literal failure in every way. The animation and it's techiniques, directing and cinematography, utilization of budget, voice acting, and etcetera are terrible.
2/10 and 3/10: Usually I'll use this as a golden "You Tried" medal. Usually this anime will have one or two things that was done right, at least in a conceptual way, which warrants them this score.
4/10: At this point the anime has completely reached every concept, but has performed it poorly. This might be a poor anime, but it is not an entirely bad one in nature, since at least it has performed in more complex concepts.
5/10: This is the average. The standard that every anime needs to be, to be at least somewhat competent.
6/10: A little bit above average, usually enjoyable to the point where I might consider a good or maybe fun anime.
7/10 and 8/10: This is where things get a bit blurry when it comes to constructive ratings. At that point I thoroughly enjoy this kind of Anime, but theres still some glaring problems that I can't ignore. Usually though I can still look past this and count the show/movie as a high quality anime.
9/10: To the point where it's almost perfect, but theres still some problems here and there.
10/10: A complete masterpiece on every level and aspect.
My favorites in particular don't always follow suit to the rating system since I do love anime that are pretty bad or even mediocre in nature. So there's that.
