Well, my actual numerical rating is different from how most people rate. I use the full list, so anything rated a 5 or above is worth watching. A 4 would normally contain a number of cliché elements and is pretty "meh" overall, and a 3 does have some good qualities, but fails overall. To quote from my list:
"3 - Bad: The show failed to deliver. Various things could land it here, but some include: A crappy ending in a plot-based series; shallow characters with a shallow plot, and low enjoyability; or a major values dissonance. I may or may not drop the show early on if I feel it would fall here, as many shows which seem bad at first manage to redeem themselves later on."
If you converted to the way most people rate numerically (top half of the list only), it would be a 6.
In any case, thank you for your compliment. I really enjoy getting feedback on my reviews. :)
Oh, thank you very much! I think this is the first time someone said that they like my writing style. Most of the time, I find my writing style to be very essay-esque and kind of rigid because of that.
Well, I think there's already plenty of good reviews that highlight the positives and negatives of HxH. I feel like if I write a review for it, I'll just be reiterating points that other people have made already. I kind of just rather spend my time writing a review for a series that hasn't gotten as much love in reviews if you know what I mean.
