Lol, no problem.

Erased has been long overdue for me. I'm not quite sure why I never finished it; I think i just dropped it to troll my friends who liked it and wanted me to finish. Regardless, it looks like my roommate wants to finish Demon Slayer s2 soon so I think the decision was kinda made for me.

I'm a big Gainax and Anno fan in general and I've been really enjoying his recent live action movies (Well, Shin Godzilla is a 10/10 for me, but I enjoyed Shin Ultraman as well). I collect promotional posters, cels and gengas (mostly the posters though) and I've been trying to get myself to buy a Noriko or Misato production cel for the longest time. So far I haven't found one on an auction site that is iconic/speaks to me enough to justify dropping 2k+ on... but someday.

I'll definitely check out that version of FLCL. It was the dub that I watched as a kid and I know for certain it negatively impacted my scoring. I wish we had more fun, dense OVAs/ONAs coming out these days with high rewatch value.

I really, REALLY need to rewatch FLCL. I watched it for the first time a little over 12 years ago and absolutely despised it, but I was a brat who didn't like MOST things at that age. Every gif or webm I see of it just oozes soul and style, and I'm certain I'd appreciate it 1000x more these days.

My current goal re: anime is to thin out my On Hold and Dropped lists, but I've now come up against the wall of deciding on my 1300th anime. Any suggestions?

Golden boy probably is one of the funniest anime I've ever seen & the animation/style is nothing short amazing. Also if you enjoyed Eva, you might as well watch Gunbuster. Its also directed by Anno & is really good. Alien 9 is a pretty weird show. It's similar to Eva & madoka but it has this weird vibe that I kinda dig. & Kubiciri Cycle is another shaftxNisioisin Combo. very underrated.

About Rezero, ya kinda see why you feel this way. Season 2 as much as I liked it was abit of drag. But I heard its worth it down the line since season 3 just got announced is & adpating the best parts of the series. It will will be full of action & suspense again.

You said you wanted a friend so here's a friend request. :D also, I like your taste in anime. Neon genesis Evangelion, Madoka Magica, Suzumiya haruhi are some of my all time favorites. Haibane Renmei is great too.
